Ambassadorship
Today I watched the little training video on being a WA Ambassador. I followed the directions and checked out my position on the list. Not bad...I'm only 57,142 spots away from the top! I'm sure it's only a matter of days before I creep into the top 20. 🧐
Status Symbols
It's pretty standard in any grouping of people that there will be something to set the "elite" apart from the rest of the crowd. That's just the way our civilization has always been and I don't see it changing anytime soon.
That's not to say I think it's "bad"; having something to strive toward is an essential part of our psyche and being rewarded for achieving what we have struggled to grasp is just as important.
What I thought was amusing, however, was the fact that although I'm ranked under 1,000 for both helper and creator, I guess the activity ranking is most important. Mine is at zero (although the chart shows substantial activity), and I'm not sure how that could be, if I'm helping & creating at a rate that gets me into the top 800 or so. I see that everyone is labelled as "unranked", so there must be a problem with that statistic at the moment.
I have no idea how many members there are...at least 57,143 as of right now. 🤣
Rallies & Conferences
I see that the way to get to the conference in Vegas is to become a Super Affiliate - by referring at least 300 people who sign up to be Premium members within the qualifying time period.
That's quite a daunting goal when you're just starting out. I've read a few blog posts about how to accomplish it... the bottom line is lots of articles, lots of exposure, lots of work.
Nobody can honestly say that affiliate marketing isn't work! It's not necessarily HARD work, but it's a LOT of work, at least at the start.
I haven't been here long enough to check out all aspects of the platform or the community, so I'm quite open to being corrected on the things that I'm saying. I'm just laying out what I've gathered from my reading. I've been in a few different communities over the years and it seems that the majority of them strive to have as many members as possible at the conventions each year - not just those who've reached a certain level.
Those who HAVE achieved the higher status are congratulated at the conference, but the main idea is always to let the general community see what's available for them to strive for. So I'm wondering what the thought line is behind limiting the Vegas conference to those who've achieved 300+ referrals in the year? And do you get to stay a Super Affiliate after that year, if you've made it once, or do you have to refer 300+ every year?

I'm enjoying the training, I'm enjoying the community, and I'm sure I'll enjoy Vegas...in about 2070 by the looks of things! Good thing the average lifespan is increasing each year! 😂

It's a curious question on whether there should be a general conference for all members. Perhaps that is in the works?
Glad you are actively checking things out in WA and learning a lot about us.
As an ambassador right now there are no perks, just recognition. We do not know the plans for Ambassadors for the future.
One nice thing about doing the training is that you can also be an affiliate marketer of consumer products. The training present a lot of detail about that.

The ranking is interesting. I was in spot 244.221 the day I signed up. It's a parabole. In the beginning you'll take giant steps of thousands. Which get (quite logical of course) smaller. So keep on going.
