Week 3, First Google Ranking!
OK, so I may sound silly but for me this is a pretty happy moment and thought I would share my small success.... I haven't really paid much attention to my Google ranking to know what it is and when I first made the 'list" or whatever ranking. But, today I was curious so I typed in a few of my keywords.
First I typed my one of my keyword phrases and nothing. Then I typed my general niche theme and about gave up but found myself on page 11, 4th spot! Now this may seem insignificant but I view this as a good start! Then I tried typing in my keyword phrase again with the quotation marks and there are only 4 results so I am number 1 of course, along with number 2 and 4 for that search. I tried the general theme again with quotations and I am on page 2, 2nd position. Not too bad!
Now, my question here then is how do I benefit from being at the top with a quotation search? I don't know of many people who use google with this quotation mark type of search in order to find what they want. So, does this even really make any difference or is it just nice to make me feel good? :-)
If anyone can elaborate on this search process and to whether or not it is beneficial to find yourself using the "search word" type of search, please explain this to me. Either way I am happy with my progress and I will surely keep writing more content for my site.

Glad you haven't been paying much attention to rankings. Much better to focus on adding content to your site.
I'm sorry you don't want to be searching with quotation marks at all. It's not how people search and is not useful as far as rankings are concerned.
I read something about searching with the quotation marks for keyword research but it makes plenty sense that nobody would do that normally... Thanks for the comment!
I feel like I have a good month or so more to go before I would consider my site to be up to par with at least the basis of what I want it to be. Continually adding of course after that point but it is definitely a process!

Always nice to see your rankings go up. Like BIS says, keep adding content and you will have further success.
