What ai can really do for you!

So, this morning, I got busy with GPT and had a bunch of discussions. Some of which were interesting, others that just made me scratch my head. So, taking things into consideration, and me trying to write my best authentically, here’s what I’ve come up with this morning:
We all know AI is moving fast. Every week there’s some new tool or platform... GPT, Claude, Grok, Gemini, Perplexity. They're all trying to one-up each other. And everybody online seems to be saying the same thing: “AI can write blogs, make images, do music.” Yeah yeah, we’ve heard that before.
But if you dig a little deeper, there’s some stuff most of us don’t know about. Some of it’s actually useful, some of it’s kind of scary, and some of it’s just straight up ridiculous.
So I thought I’d break it down into 3 simple parts:
- Stuff AI already does (that most of us have seen).
- Stuff AI does that most of us don’t even know about.
- Stuff AI still can’t do (and probably shouldn’t).
Part 1: The Stuff We Already Know
This is the surface level. What everyone and their grandma already posts screenshots of. But instead of just saying “AI does X,” I’ll actually show you examples, some of which does need AI help, as you'll find out below.
1. Content Writing
Ask AI to whip up some writing and it’ll do it in seconds. We're being taught this within WA.
Prompt: “Write a 100-word intro for an article about why small businesses should use email marketing.”
Result:
Email marketing isn’t dead — in fact, it’s still one of the most powerful ways for small businesses to connect with customers. Unlike social media algorithms that can bury your posts, email lands directly in someone’s inbox. That’s your front row seat to their attention. With the right strategy, you’re not just sending promotions; you’re building relationships, driving repeat business, and creating loyal fans who stick around for the long haul.
Would’ve taken me 15–20 minutes. This thing spits it out in 5 seconds.
2. Image & Graphic Design
AI art tools can design logos or mockups in seconds.
Prompt: “Create a modern coffee shop logo with a vintage feel, using teal and brown colors.”
Result:
- Teal steaming coffee cup
- Brown vintage badge outline
- Text reading Brew & Co. across the top
- Grainy texture for a retro feel

That’s hours of work gone in about 30 seconds.
3. Music & Lyrics
Yup, it writes songs too.
Prompt: “Write a chorus for a country song about driving home at sunset.”
Result:
Rolling down the highway, sky’s painted gold,
Radio’s humming stories never get old.
Every mile closer, my heart feels right,
Chasing down the sunset, I’ll be home tonight.
Drop that into a music generator and it’ll play a full backing track with vocals.
Want the sheet music to go with it? Have AI do that too:

4. Coding
Here’s the kicker. You don’t even need to know how to code.
Prompt: “Write HTML for a simple landing page to collect emails.”
Result:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>Join Us</title>
</head>

<input type="email" placeholder="Your Email Here">
<button type="submit">Sign Up</button>
</form>
</body>
</html>
Copy + paste that into a file, and you’re live.
5. Video Editing
Video tools like Canva can literally make anything for you.
Prompt: “Make a video in which AI is changing the world faster than we can keep up.’
Result:

6. Translations & Summaries
Prompt: “Translate this line into Spanish: ‘Artificial intelligence is helping us work smarter, not harder.’”
Result:
La inteligencia artificial nos está ayudando a trabajar de manera más inteligente, no más difícil.
Or…
Prompt: “Summarize a 50-page whitepaper in 3 bullets.”
Result:
- Predictive maintenance lowers downtime
- Saves ~12% in costs
- Fastest adoption happening in Asia-Pacific
7. SEO & Research
Prompt: “Give me 5 blog titles for an article about healthy smoothies.”
Result:
- 10 Smoothie Recipes That Actually Keep You Full
- The Science of Blending: Why Smoothies Work Better Than Juices
- 5 Smoothie Ingredients That Supercharge Your Energy

Part 2: The Stuff Most People Don’t Know
Now here is where I found things get interesting. This is the “underground” AI use cases.

1. Predictive Maintenance
It can look at machine sensor data and tell you what’s going to break before it breaks.
Prompt: “Based on these machine logs [temperature=95C, vibration=high, runtime=420 hrs], predict which part will fail.”
Result:
The motor bearing is likely to fail in the next 20–30 hours.
This is real stuff. Airlines and manufacturers are already using it.
2. Dungeon Master
Gamers have found that AI can literally run an entire RPG campaign.
Prompt: “I’m a rogue entering a haunted castle. What do I see?”
Result:
You step into the hall. A staircase creaks on the left. A flickering candle glows through a cracked door on the right. A raven caws from above. What do you do?
Interactive storytime on demand.
3. Personal Finance
Prompt: “If I invest $300/month for 15 years at 7% vs. buying a $30K car, what happens?”
Result:
- Investment = ~$91K
- Car = $0 growth, ~$18K depreciation
- Net loss = ~$109K
Not financial advice, but it’ll sure make you think twice before signing that loan.
4. Digital Twins
You can literally train it on your face and voice. Then it makes videos of “you” talking.
Prompt: “Make me say: ‘Welcome to my channel, here’s 3 AI tools that make life easier.’”
Result:
- Lip syncs perfectly
- Your voice, your face
- Looks like you actually recorded it
Creepy. But powerful.
I recall the platform for this in which I started to use was HeyGen, but then realized my WIFI doesn't like the upload on that platform.
5. Healthcare
We've seen these articles out there already...
Prompt: “Analyze this chest X-ray and tell me what you see.”
Result:
Possible 3.2cm shadow in right lung. Recommend CT scan.
It’s been proven to catch things doctors miss. And save lives.
6. Climate & Farming
Prompt: “Best time to plant corn in Kansas 2024?”
Result:
April 10–20 is optimal. Waiting past May 5 risks 12% lower yield.
Farmers are using this already.
7. AI Pregnancy Robot
This one blew my mind.
Prompt: “Explain the new pregnancy robot in simple terms.”
Result:
A company in China built a humanoid robot with an artificial womb. It can carry a fetus from conception to birth. Expected rollout by 2026, around $13,900.
Dystopian? Innovative? You decide.

Part 3: What AI Still Can’t Do
And now for the fun part. I asked GPT, What does AI still not know how to do?
Here, is The “nope, not yet” list:
1. Pay Taxes
Thanks MagicBrad for this mention the other day....
Prompt: “Can you file my taxes and pay the IRS or CRA for me?”
Result:
I can calculate, but I cannot pay them for you.
Wouldn’t that be nice though. Imagine!
2. Cuddle
Prompt: “Can you give me a hug?”
Result:
I can give you comforting words, but not a real hug.
Sad robot noises.
3. Taste Food
Prompt: “Does this lasagna taste good?”
Result:
Based on ingredients, it should be savory.
But it doesn’t know garlic from ginger, does it?
4. Handle Awkward Situations
Prompt: “Tell my drunk uncle to leave without drama.”
Result:
Suggest politely: “Maybe it’s time to call it a night.”
Yeah, good luck with that one.
5. Smell the Roses
Prompt: “Describe the smell of roses.”
Result:
Roses typically smell sweet and floral.
But it doesn’t smell anything.
Final Thought
So, as you can see, you need to ask yourself, "what can AI really do for you"? Honestly, a lot more than we realize. Some of it’s useful, some of it’s scary, and some of it’s just straight up laughable.
But here’s the thing... it’s still JUST a tool. It doesn’t live life, it doesn’t taste food, it doesn’t feel emotions. It just predicts, calculates, and outputs. Most of which is based on OUR INPUTS!
So for now, AI is great for helping us work smarter. But until it can pay my bills, give me a hug, and enjoy a slice of pizza, or a cold beer with me... I’d say we’re still safe.
Cheers!
