Small Win, Big Signal (Bing Just Did Something Interesting)
Quick share because this one surprised me a bit.
I checked Bing today and searched “crossing borders with RV”. Not Google. Bing specifically. And my site EverythingRVsAndMore.com is sitting in the #1 organic spot, plus showing up inside the AI summary sources.

On Google I’m not ranking anywhere meaningful yet for this term. So this isn’t a victory lap post. It’s more of a pattern recognition post.
What this tells me is simple: search engines do not all behave the same, and AI-driven results are already choosing different winners than traditional SERPs.
I didn’t optimize this article for Bing. I didn’t stuff keywords. I didn’t do anything fancy. I wrote the post to solve a real problem because we’ve crossed borders with our RV multiple times and I know what people stress about.
- Documents.
- What you can bring.
- What you can’t.
- How the process actually feels at the booth.
That’s it.
And now Bing is basically saying “this is useful enough to reference.”
Why this matters if you’re building content sites:
- It proves authority is starting to show up outside of Google first.
- AI summaries pull from sources that actually answer questions properly, not just pages that game SEO signals.
It also means if you’re only watching Google rankings, you’re missing part of the picture.
If you’re building blogs right now, especially informational or travel content, I’d strongly suggest checking Bing and not ignoring it. AI search traffic is going to grow whether we like it or not.
If you’ve noticed your site showing up on Bing or AI panels before Google, I’d be curious to hear about it.

That's great, Jeremy!
I understand that feeling when you see your site included in the AI summary sources. 😊
Indeed, ranking on Google has become much more difficult now, but we shouldn't let that discourage us.
Really interesting pattern you’re pointing out here Jeremy. It’s encouraging to see practical, experience-based content getting surfaced by AI search first.
I actually don;t recall me adding schema to that post for that to happen, but it was one of the first posts i made that i've kept updated.
Great small victory, JD. I hope Google follows suit for you in the near future.
You have made me curious if I am showing up on Bing, might need to have a look at that.
Thanks for sharing.
That is cool! And if that happened this time, I bet your site will repeatedly end up in Bing's AI summary!
