From 85 to 126: What a Month on YouTube Taught Me About Momentum
This isn’t a flex post… well, maybe a little one. Because when you’ve worked your butt off and actually see results, it deserves a moment.
Just over a month ago, I had 85 subscribers. Not bad, not viral, just steady. Fast-forward to today—I’m sitting at 126 subs and just crossed 30,000 views in April alone.
No shortcuts. No bots. Just content. (Okay… and CapCut.)
Here’s what’s wild: I’ve only published 84 videos so far, and tonight I’m releasing #85. And while it’s not 100k subscribers, it feels like a major win. Especially for someone who originally didn’t even want to show his face on camera (hello voiceover style!).
So what changed?
- I leaned into my niche (RV + travel + off-grid lifestyle).
- I stopped overthinking the perfect edit and just hit publish.
- I studied titles and thumbnails using VidIQ and let SEO do its thing.
- I focused on value first instead of the perfect backdrop or lighting.
If you’re sitting on your first video idea or debating whether to start a channel—this is your nudge.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about showing up, sharing your voice, and stacking those small wins.
I don’t have all the answers, but I do have a few stats, some scars, and a little momentum on my side.
If you want to ask how I’m doing it (or want to collaborate on a WA + YouTube challenge), let’s talk.
One video at a time…

Jeremy, this is epic. Huge congratulations. You earned every bit of that momentum by showing up, staying consistent, and focusing on real value. It is awesome to see how stacking small wins leads to big movement over time. You are proving that it is not about going viral overnight, it is about showing up and trusting the process. Keep pushing, keep posting, and keep stacking those wins. Cheering you on all the way. One video at a time, just like you said.

Congratulations, Jeremy.
The small wins matter. I moved from sub 50 to 51 in one week on my YouTube channel.
We have to keep moving forward even if I don't know everything about what I'm doing. Lol!
All the best,
Maxine :)

Good morning Jeremy,
It's great to hear that your YouTube channel is on the increase, that's great news and always very encouraging.
When we see successful YouTube channels like Mikael and Roope, they started with zero subscribers, but grew that channel through hard work and consistency. We have to keep persevering and being consistent.
Wishing you all the best and thank you for posting and documenting your journey.
