Bootcamp Week 8 – Turning Engagement Into Actual Results

Week 8 shifted the focus from “running ads” to actually starting conversations that lead somewhere. This was the first week where I really leaned into the idea that comments, replies, and simple questions can do more heavy lifting than polished ads ever will.

Here’s the quick rundown.

This Week’s Main Moves

• Completed Lesson 8 (From Engagement to Earnings)
• Built my first text-only conversational post
• Boosted it lightly and focused on comment replies
• Shifted more traffic to my own website first
• Continued testing Image Studio visuals
• Ran the same method on my client site FlyFishCR[.]com, just to see if the framework holds up outside the MMO space... and it does.

What the Numbers Looked Like

From Nov 9–17:

• 892 website visitors in 28 days (+1,521%)
• 5,037 WA clicks
• 1 new starter referral (surprisingly from a Medium article I wrote back in July)
• No upgrades this week
• Facebook ads averaging $0.06 per landing page view
• +5 new followers from the week’s ad activity

Website traffic is up, but WA click-throughs dipped a bit — mostly because I’m testing the “Facebook → my site → WA” flow now. There’s definitely room to improve the conversion path on the site itself.

What Worked Best

• The plain text post: cheapest engagement all week.
• Intentional replies: treating comments as part of the funnel made a clear difference.
• Image Studio: still one of the easiest ways to rebuild an idea into 5–10 variations.
• Niche-specific angles: these continue to draw curiosity far more than general motivation posts.

A Cool Bonus

I tested the same ad/creative structure on the fly fishing site — Costa Rica fly fishing trips — and the ads performed even better than some of my WA ones.
Good confirmation that the Bootcamp strategy works outside this niche too.

What’s Next

Week 9 is all about Black Friday and success-story-driven ads.
I’ve already started working on a few graphics inside Image Studio and outlining fresh angles for the coming promo.
