Do you want success? Fall should be your favorite season
When I decided that my success was a choice only I could make.
Often times we consider friends and family to be our biggest supporters with regard to business. How fantastic it would be if friends and family understood that this is in fact a business, and not a free giveaway. When doing business with people you know they always want a discount or service for free. I have had a friend say” I thought we were friends and you were doing this as a favor” my response: “If you were really my friend, you would understand that this is my business, how I get paid and feed my family. You should be more willing to pay me for my service rather than give it to someone else”. Long story short, we no longer speak..lol
The Realization
I decided to post this because I had to realize that along my journey of success I became the tree that needs to shed old leaves in order to grow new ones. I was once afraid to let go of people or things from my past for fear of not finding a replacement. The moment that I realized I had to stand up for myself I cried. Someone very close to me explained to me that people are always getting over on me and I allow it. Even though I may be bothered by it, I would accept it because I felt I had no choice. The reality is I do have a choice as to what I accept and expect from the people in my life. Once I made it up in my own mind to make the change my tree effect began. I started to loose a lot of leaves quickly, my branches were just about bare (lol). Eventually I realized that although my branches were bare, the few leaves that remained were enough to help me sustain until the new leaves began to grow. This is apart of becoming great, understanding your own flaws and hindrances and making the necessary changes in order to grow.

I love your post! Your analogy that we are like trees shedding old leaves to grow new leaves is beautiful. In order to grow, we have to let go, overcome our obstacles and constantly polish ourselves and let fall be our favorite season! I'll start thinking to myself, how many dead leaves I'm trying to bring back to life? Thanks for sharing!
