Principle 1: Personal Responsibility

I've been involved with WA for a year now. I've not made the most of it. I was off to a good start....twice, but I'm not where I had planned to be. I could give you this reason or that reason, for why I'm not where I should be, but I'm not going to.

I've read two books lately. The One Thing by Gary Keller & Jay Papasan, and The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. I highly recommend both. I've come to the conclusion, after reading these books, that 1) I don't hold myself accountable for my goals, and 2) I'm not where I want to be, because I've not taken myself there. I'm 100% responsible for where I'm at on line, off line and everywhere in-between. My goals have been less than definable, and my effort has been lackadaisical at best.

These Success Principles make a lot of sense. I'm not sure why it's taken me 48 years to find them. They've been around since the dawn of time. There are living examples of The Success Principles everywhere. It's time I opened myself up to these principles.

My wonderful, patient wife told me recently that "you can't change the past, but you can mold the future". My wife is very wise as well. My future involves The Success Principles and definable goals, which I will hold myself accountable for. I've begun implementing some of the principles, and I've already noticed a difference in my personal life as well as my professional life. My goal, is to become a living example of The Success Principles. I'm going to be a billboard which reads "It's never to late".

Stop by my site, www.ReclinerCash.com over the next few weeks. I'll be talking a lot about these principles, and I'll be the case study.

"You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself" -Jim Rohn

Take care my friends.

Thanks for sharing this Jay. I have your site bookmarked so I can sort of watch as you progress. Your story sort of slapped me in the face. It could be mine to a great extent.

I have been fighting to change but am not sure I am winning the fight. I am going to try and read both of those books. Maybe I will get the same kickstart.

Great goals for yourself and I wish you the best.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post Ron. I appreciate it.

Hey Jay.

Welcome back. Yes I agree we are responsible for our own success. WE tend to keep on holding on to our pasts, this only drags us back. Look to the future and move forward.

All the best.
Michelle
