The World is Made of Words
A lot of times writing can be hard for me to feel confident in. Mostly because I am a slow starter at a lot of things. But, I have noticed a pattern about my slow starts that I think other should be aware of. Of all the slow starts that I have had, the ones I stuck with ended up producing positive results with TIME being a key factor.
There are a few ways to look at success. And if you can subscribe to this perception, you will find yourself suffering less over worrying weather or not you will succeed, and instead you will enjoy the journey to success and hopefully look back and wonder how you got there so fast.
Regret and Worry - The Past and the Future
We spend entirely too much time hanging out with these two thugs. They will rob you of your happiness by being a part of your presence of mind. Let me say before I go any further that I am a true believer in knowledge of the self. The more conscious of how you operate, the more volition you possess over your desires, passions and of course, your fears. Moving forward.. So, as I said, they will rob you of your birthright, which is being happy.
How do these twins of worry and regret stifle our success? I'm only going to focus on one of these shadows in this Blog, and that's WORRY. We are all here for success, and while the past can certainly hold of back from the future, It is my personal believe that worrying about the future does more harm to your present moment than worrying about the past in the case of financial success.
Worry -
Someone once told me that worrying was like interest paid in advance for a debt that you may never even owe. Worrying can be snuffed out once you realize where the roots of it's power are dug in at. And it's the same for all. CONTROL. We know we cannot control the past or the future. We may like to think we can control the future but, ultimately we cannot. The only real thing that we can do is set our intentions for it.
Let me use myself as an example. When I used to have a goal in my mind I would do what most people do, start working towards it. But, when I was faced with adversity or friction, I would start to lose momentum. I would start to WORRY.
The moment I start to focus on whether or not I will get what I want is the moment where the journey becomes the source of my unhappiness.
Being Wed to outcomes has served me no other purpose but to generate uncertainty of the future. Now come on, I know what you're thinking. Whats wrong with thinking about the future? There is nothing inherently wrong about it. But, it's no doubt our desire to control it that can cause tremendous pain..
Remember, it's not the intention that brings us unhappiness, it's the attachment to the outcome.
Worry has the key to your demon's cages and will let them out of their cages to create chaos in your mind that will slowly erode your inspiration and ultimately undermine your own success causing the creation of a belief about yourself and potentially crystallize into something worse - A poor pattern of thought.. The question is whether or not you will subscribe to this LIE and keep your success as merely just a potential.........a Dream
- Am I good enough?
- Can I actually do this?
- How long did it take THEM to succeed?
THEM and ME - Comparison, the thief of Joy
- How long will it take ME to succeed?
- This is taking longer than it should
- I'll never get there
WORRY you see the poison now? You see how we can defeat ourselves?
A Humble Solution - SURRENDER
The opponent of CONTROL is SURRENDER.
Surrender to what currently IS, while looking through the vista of your dreams with truthful intentions. Then, once you have a clear vision of what you would like your future to be, just create a path towards it and WALK IT. You may fall, and hurt yourself and there may be some unexpected things come up that stifle your progress but, doesn't that happen to all of us? We all seem to preach the same things to each other. So why not take our own advice instead of just paying lip service to inspire others.
Two Forms of Spiritual Currency - (Time and Attention)
"Circumstances do not make a man, they reveal him" - James Allen
Time and Attention are the two forms of spiritual currency, that if you spend it wisely, will enrich your life and give back tenfold what you put into it.
What you SPEND your TIME on
What you PAY ATTENTION to.
What are you spending yours on? Where do your cares lie? You will find that where your cares tend to fall, is also where your time and attention is being spent. We live in time not outside of it. So, have faith that what you put your T&A into, will eventually bring back what you put into it.(The effect). But because our causes and effects are divided by time, we must wait patiently.
A quitter never wins, and a winner never quits.....
So, don't SPEND all of your TIME PAYING ATTENTION to all of your Worries and Regrets. Otherwise you might find yourself not living in the present but, instead, living in the past and the future, hopelessly hypnotized by those dreadful illusions of Worry and Regret - that really have no rightful place in your present moment.
You're success could be closer than you just might. imagine..
Kindest Regards,

The whole post was very powerful and I got some extremely useful points out of it.
I would have to say my favorite part is at the end where you said "what you spend your time on is what you pay attention to." Sometimes i catch myself not wanting to pay attention or give my energy to something but I end up spending time doing something not even noticing it and that does give it attention. Just something I have to be aware of.
Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks for spending your time to read it.
It's the REAL currency!
Yea, it's tough being completely aware all the time.
There are a lot of things in this world created to influence us into how we spend those two things. A well informed person is the best line of defense ^_^
