The Truck drivers life!

Hello everyone,

My name is Jason in 2014 I went to truck driving school it was one of the most best decisions that I made!! I've always wanted to drive semi truck and I got the opportunity to do it and I went for it!. my wife would sit down with me and study with me everyday until I graduated she was my backbone of it all without her I probably would have struggled!! Because I have a reading and spelling problem it really interferes with what I tried to do in life. so with that being said I was finally in a truck I felt like I was on top of the world I got into the oil and gas industry and that's when things began to slowly start getting better.

Now I will tell you!! A truck driver should be very much respected!! I gained a lot of respect once I got into the field and realized that are truck drivers are very important people. Everything that is on the market today is delivered by truck without a truck driver you would have nothing!! Think about it everything comes on a truck no matter where you order from whether it's the internet or your grocery store it all came on a truck even clothing.

During my time driving I experienced a lot of scary situations I seen a lot of tragic accidents daily I've had to set behind accidents on the road that took 11 hours to clean up and fatal injuries I seen a lot of near misses and it is seriously breathtaking probably the scariest thing you can go through. knowing tomorrow your in a vehicle that won't stop when you need it to and everyday our truck drivers are dedicated to get inside of a vehicle knowing that today could be their last day!! Those trucks do not stop when you hit the brakes it takes a long time to come to a stop and by that time the damage is already done.

Now to deal with this 72 hours a week 6-12 hour shiftsthat leaves you one day to run around for a family of 5 or more and do everybody's needs all in one day and be so exhausted and push yourself and pretty much not even get a day off if you look at it. But it also takes a toll oh not being with your family 72 hours out of a week is a lot of hours mist with family that was one of my biggest problems after two years into driving I had a newborn that I never got to see I have a 10 year that I hardly got to see because she went to her mother's on the weekends and I worked all week and I hardly got to see my wife you know when I got married I was 28 and she was 19 and I honestly couldn't ask for a better wife that stood by my side through all them times I was hardly ever home but new I never got out of that truck seat one time two times out of a 12 hour shift is a long time to set to give your family the world..

but to give your family the world memes every truck driver you see sacrifices pretty much all their time at work you hardly forever home with your family and as the world is today it doesn't take much for a 3rd party distraction to step in and interfere with your family and it's something that happens but can be prevented sitting at home with nothing to do and no one there for you makes you reach out and as soon as you do your family is done I know hundreds of truck drivers who are single who has been left because of the absence from being home but no one really stops to think if everybody stop driving truck because they was absent from home everyone would be walking around naked and hungry because I haven't seen a train yet pull up to a Walmart and offload!! My professional opinion I think truck drivers are way too far underpaid and too many hours overworked and I think a lot of people would agree with that. sometimes I ask myself why is it you can dedicate your time until you retire driving truck and have to miss out on the vents, family events, baseball games, football games , soccer games kids school plays I mean the list goes on. Let's just face it it doesn't matter what drone they build what airplane, train, boat, all of those still get unloaded and put into trucks.

so the next time there's thinking about it maybe you should say thank you it would probably shock every truck driver you think because they have never heard that word come from anyone all as they know is they get pulled out in front of they get cut off on the interstate people pull out in front of them because they think that they're faster not thinking that there is 114,000 pound vehicle coming at them like a freight train and you're in a little Geo metro with 6 people in it moving at turtle speed!! And I know that sounds funny but it's the truth you wouldn't believe the mental stress you go through everyday and it got so much to the point where I was so mentally stressed from the road that I got out of the truck and it's been two years since I've been back in one because that's just how mentally stressful it is and so the next time you hear someone say all it was that crazy truck driver yeah he probably is crazy but now you understand why..

people if you are reading this I am just writing this blog as my first blog that I have ever wrote in my Life and ain't even sure if it's right but someone told me to write about something that has happened in my life that could possibly change somebody else's life for the good so maybe whoever reads this they'll take into consideration for our truck drivers and slow down and save your own life.

today I run my own woodworking business it's called Craftsman woodworkers no I never got to start a website but I have got to build a lot of things from tables, dressers, countertops, anyting you would want made out of wood I can build it or replicate it I just have a passion for it and it keeps me from getting in a truck because I cannot take the stress levels..

So I hope everyone on here understands and enjoys understanding a little bit about something that has been around for decades!!
