An Illness Changed My Life!

Never have I felt more ALIVE than I do today. I am so proud of what I have accomplished in just 4 months!

How It All Started

As you know, it started with an 'illness", which was a worldwide impact.

(I won't bore you with the story, we're living it as we speak)

With millions unemployed. I am fortunate enough to have kept my job.

Before The Illness

I was the definition of a 'Shopaholic'. An online shopper, who looked for great deals and just had fun finding things I didn't need. Retailers brought me joy.

Of course with any addiction, there's an underlining source.

Putting An End To The Addiction!

Once the illness began and I first started working at home. I started to realized having "stuff and things" really didn't solve any problems that I had. I was creating more problems.

I took a look at myself and realized that I was a better position than most people. I needed to act responsibly and take care of my finances and use this time to get financially literate.

What a huge meditation this illness brought me.

I've learned that your State ID, SS Card, Passport and Birth Certificate aren't the only piece of information that makes up your identity. Your Credit Score can be added to the list.

I started off this illness in the toilet in my Credit Score. I was at a point where I wouldn't have been able to receive anything without a co-signer.

What did I do?

Well, all that money I would have used in buying clothes (because it's not like I have 2 closets worth), Movies (because even though I have left over DVD/Blu-ray and streaming services. Somehow I needed more), Junk (for what?), I put towards paying off my 6 credit cards.

All my cards we Maxed OUT!

I would pay a little more than the minimum and would spend it once it cleared. Heck I was BAD! A Nightmare.

I was able to pay off 2 cards in a month. 3 cards in a week and then I have about a month left in paying off my last card.

Where Did The Money Come From?

I took a look at my income and asked myself. How do I make more money, that will let me be flexible with my time and would be able to keep my current position.

I was able to generate some extra income which allowed me to pay down my debt.

Alive!

This illness saved my life. I am able to save money and I don't have an urge to spend even with being online Every day! I see that the importance of saving and having Financial Independence will help you go far.

My Credit Score is up and still climbing the latter with every AMAZING decision I make.

Ultimately I want to leave you with this. You have the power within you to change your life. Take time to meditate and clear you mind. You will see a difference.
