I have tried to offer comments on a couple of different websites over the past few days and don't get any response when I 'submit'. I wonder if there is something I am doing w

Hi - when you say you are using "one of your email addresses" - are you using the one you linked to your WA account? Does the email address populate automatically above the box where you leave your comment?

By the way, I notice you say you offer to "review" a member's page. Do be aware, that site comments should focus solely on the post you are offered to read and you should engage with the topic. It is not the place to offer feedback on the website, such as grammar, layout etc.

Hmmm... Perhaps that's the problem, Diane. The gravatar I created isn't the same as the email address I use for my WA account. (I wasn't thinking of that!) And no... it's not populating automatically. I'll try to associate that original (used for WA) email with my gravatar and see if that helps.

I understand what you're saying about 'comments' vs. 'reviewing', too. Thanks for clarifying that.

Hi Rob, If you have submitted your comments in WA, the comments are then approved by the site owner before they go live. The same is true if you submit comments directly to website posts. I've never seen a message telling me that a comment has been approved but I know they have been because I've seen them on sites I revisit. From what you said in your comment, you are doing everything right. Know too that some people take a little while to approve comments because they are busy elsewhere. Personally, I think we should check for comments and approve quickly because it's good for site engagement. Hope this helps, Steve C

I suppose I was expecting something like "Your comment has been submitted" (at least) when I hit the 'submit' button. I can understand that it takes time to get 'approved' status. It's a learning curve like everything else, I guess. I'll figure it out eventually. Thanks, Steve!
