Trust Me—The Time Is Worth It

I want to share something personal that I hope encourages anyone feeling discouraged with slow results.

I remember it like it was yesterday—back in 2014, I was sitting in bed late at night, working on my laptop, adding content to my affiliate website. Back then, it took me hours just to write one post. I was exhausted, mentally drained, and questioning whether it was all worth it.

My wife looked over and asked me, “Why are you wasting your time? You haven’t made a dime yet, and it’s been almost 8 months.”

And truthfully… I was already asking myself the same question.

I’d been grinding away for months with zero financial return. I hadn’t made a single sale. I was frustrated, burnt out, and dangerously close to quitting. That night, I published the piece of content I was working on… and then I stepped away. For a couple of weeks, I didn’t touch the website. I needed space to clear my head.

Then something unexpected happened.

About a month later, my wife and I were sitting in church. Suddenly, my phone started going ding, ding, ding. I quickly silenced the volume, slightly annoyed, but also curious. I glanced at the screen—and what I saw floored me.

Sales.

Multiple. Repeating. And they kept coming.

That content I almost gave up on? It had taken off.

That was the day I realized something powerful:
👉 You never know when your content will catch fire.
👉 You never know what post will open the floodgates.
👉 You never know how close you are to your breakthrough.

If I had quit just a few weeks earlier, I would have never experienced that moment. I would have never known the joy of earning income from something I built. And I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today.

So if you’re in that frustrating season where it feels like nothing is happening—keep going. Have faith. Push through.

Because the work you’re putting in today is building something.
