How Are You Spending Your Time? (A Wake-Up Call I Needed to Hear Myself)
How Are You Spending Your Time? (A Wake-Up Call I Needed to Hear Myself)
Hey WA family,
I logged in tonight with the full intention of making progress on my website. I had my goals lined up—content to publish, tweaks to make, and maybe even a little SEO housekeeping.
But somehow… that didn’t happen.
Within minutes of logging in, I caught myself clicking around, watching videos on other platforms, reading random articles, and chasing shiny objects that promised to help me work smarter. Before I knew it, I was completely off course—looking for shortcuts instead of doing the actual work I came here to do.
Sound familiar?
The truth hit me like a brick: there are no shortcuts. No tool, tactic, or trick can replace consistent effort, focus, and patience. That’s the only “secret” to success here. And yet, I still found myself trying to find a faster way.
Don’t get me wrong—learning and researching are part of the process. But tonight wasn’t about learning. It was distraction disguised as productivity.
I eventually caught myself and got back on track, but I’ll be honest… I wasted a night that could have been truly productive.
This experience reminded me of something important:
🔹 Success isn’t built in those rare bursts of motivation.
🔹 It’s built in the quiet, often boring moments where we choose to do the work even when no one is watching.
🔹 It’s built when we say “no” to distractions and “yes” to showing up for our goals.
So I’m putting this out here not just to vent, but to stay accountable—and maybe remind someone else who’s in the same boat.
How are you spending your time when you log in?
Are you moving the needle, or just staying busy?
Let’s commit to staying focused. We’re all building something meaningful here—and it’s worth every bit of effort.
To progress, not perfection.
– Jason

The first few minutes of my planned daily routine is spent switching off as many distractions that have a power button. For example I use Cryptotab Browser strictly for work on my blogs. It's nice I earn a few cents a day by turning it on but the importance is it is a space on my site that has every link targeted to my business. Shutting off the phone is another, and that leaves me to manage my time for WA with my time for my own sites.
Over the next 30 minutes I moderate my Social Network and answer vital emails or trash a ton of SPAM and then I focus at least 1 hour on my blogs. Some days like today I have other task to fit in like helping rearrange my bedroom but I still have about an hour to work on something positive. Today I am learning more on Video Creation because within the next 30 days this shy guy is going to do his first YouTube video with a face in it in years.

Hello Jason, Yes I am a guilty one too sometimes I get lost with other platforms scrolling and wasted time. Now being here in WA made realize that I can scroll and read articles at the same time earn. Anyway, its ok to get lost sometimes the most important is we always find our way back.
