Today while cleaning, I came across a forgotten letter that was buried in a pile of clutter. That in itself isn't a surprise because I send and receive letters quite frequently. What was a surprise is what I read. It reminded me of where I'm going and where I've been. This letter means so much to me because it was given to me by the most important person in my life.
The person who wrote that letter to me is myself.
It was at a time when I was drowning in debt, my car had just been totaled by a man who ran a red light, and I was diagnosed with stomach cancer, colon cancer, and anal cancer, after being sick for many months. My business was failing and I was just plain tired and stressed out.

I was happy to find this letter because I have progressed so much since 2023. I'm still in debt, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I closed my business and that was a very heavy weight that was lifted.
My dad passed away unexpectedly a year after I wrote this, however, it makes me think of him because he was such a positive person. I am reminded that I am too.
Life is short.
My stomach cancer did return, and I just finished my last chemo in May. I am living my life and I'm not stressing about the things that don't matter. Yes, I surely have come a long way and I still have more to look forward to.
I am grateful to be so blessed.
