No Financial Compensation Yet?. Make It Work!
When I joined WA in March 2017 I thought I had it all figured out. Writing content??? No big deal... I can do that... 1, 2, 3! Especially because I had retired early, I had all the time in the world to make money with this new venue. Not just "any venue." This is what I had been hoping for most of my 9-5 working life.... I should really say, for most of my 8am to whatever-time-it-takes-to-get-the-job-done life. Finally I found something I trusted to make my dream come true.... help others while helping me. My future looked great... I started my training with great enthusiasm and faith that everything I ever wanted would soon manifest.
Yes... now I could dedicate my life and energy to this exciting new venture! I wrote my goals down.... time was not a limiting factor anymore!!! But we all know how life has its way of bringing on challenges.... they come through the back door... unforeseen, unannounced, and they hit you really hard like an invisible brick wall which suddenly hits you... head on. Time... the very same thing I had tons of... is now lacking.
Now it's seven months since I joined WA.... my goals are still way back there, and so is my training because of the "time" factor. Funny how I thought I had all the time in the world and then life throws one of its curve balls at me. That "free" time I had is being dedicated to a more pressing issue. My daughter is ill and needs my time. Every time I set myself to write content and continue with my training... guess what? Something comes up which I must tend to.
I had started to feel upset at myself because I was not meeting my own deadlines and accomplishing my life-long dream. But... you know what? One day I realized that I AM getting there! When I read such great comments about people like me and when I feel backed up by a great community, I take heart and I KNOW I eventually will be where I want to be... slowly but surely! Right now my greatest satisfaction lies in knowing I am helping my daughter overcome this obstacle... knowing that I will feel even better when we win this battle!
So... to each and everyone of you who at one time or another feels disappointment or lacks confidence, to everyone struggling with making this work.... take heart! We have a great platform at Wealthy Affiliate. We have a great community. We keep working hard because we know--without any doubt--that the reward is right around the corner!!!
Never lose hope... never lose your dreams!

Hello Michael... would you elaborate on "get tempered in the fire?"
Metal gets tempered in fire, or rather said steel.
The toughest steel is forged in the hottest fire.
By tempering, you make it stronger or finer or better. In other words, practice makes perfect. It is a very long process with many steps. So is growing your online business. All the best!
Steven
Thanks for clarifying for me Steven... I knew it had to be something reassuring coming from Michael. "Practice makes perfect" is a great analogy. It reminds me of my dear friend and co-worker who was the computer trainer back in the Wang days... that was her favorite phrase :)
Thanks Janet. Interactive inspiration is great!
Indeed it is :-)
