Lessons from our past
Time is a strange thing! If you can reflect on lessons learnt from the past, time can be a great teacher.
Though it’s always easier to look back at something in retrospect, than project into whats coming - if you can learn from lessons in the past and apply it to your present it could help you to create a better future.
That’s where I find myself currently with WA, I’m trying to understand my past in order to help me build a better life for my family and I.
As I look back it’s clear that one thing I’ve struggled with over and over again is, the ability to stick to something consistently long enough to see a positive change.
The key word in that last paragraph was ‘consistently’. I’ve found that on the few occasions I’ve set my mind on some desired outcome, worked hard and consistently, I’ve seen good results.
However, I am quite easily distracted and enjoy several different creative pursuits. Yes this doesn’t help but if you can’t keep chipping away at something daily, you’re bound to keep changing your direction to no avail.
This reminds me of when I was in my late 20’s and working out regularly at my local gym. One evening after a good session on the weights, I got chatting to one of the other regulars about life. I remember vividly how he turned round and said:
“You know what the key to a successful life is? Consistency!”
I‘ve never forgotten that moment, and now, as I work hard in the early stages to build out my site and establish myself online…that moment is continually in the back of my mind.
I think a lot of the time we have the answers to our problems, they just somehow elude us because life can get overwhelming and overly complex.
If you’re struggling with something at the moment, perhaps try looking back at times in the past, recently or a while ago and see if there are any more obvious reasons for why things haven’t worked out for you and start from there.
Hopefully, you find some really useful ‘A-ha’ moments that will serve you well here on your journey at WA :)

Love it James! Being consistent in what we do in all aspects of life can certainly help us improve but...
We need to find out what works first and be consistent doing just that!
A few tweaks along the way of course as nothing is ever perfect after all!
Appreciate the share my friend and enjoy a wonderful start to the weekend! :-)
Thanks very much Jessie :)
Great point there, think that’s the magic duo - finding something that works for you and sticking at it consistently. Both those things are made a little easier if you enjoy what you’re doing :D
Thanks for the input mate! :)
