I retired from my teaching career and wanted to keep learning and growing. The best thing about teaching was interacting with the students to discover their prior knowledge and helping them create a path to get to where they needed to be. Here at Wealthy Affiliate I have found a way to keep helping people. I am able to provide help and information to make life just a little smoother for others.
Kyle emphasizes that we should not be about making money in our post creation. We want to focus on helping others. This is right inline with my thinking and what I want to do with my website. I want to provide information that will be useful and make someone else's life go a little smoother. If I can monetize my website that would certainly be an added bonus. An opportunities to help others out financially would be very satisfying.
So where am I after 5 months with WA?

Community: I like to be supportive and helpful. I still am not as confident with my skills to offer training and help in the word press questions. I do love to hear about success and progress and be an encouraging influence.
My direction from here:
Posts: Keywords and post regularity are my focus. I need to really understand and select the best keywords for my posts. I need to create a regular posting schedule. The teacher in me insists on quality work and so my post creation is not as quick as it should be.
Traffic: I need to use and fine tune strategies to create traffic to my website.
Affiliate Marketing: Adding that piece to help others find what they need and provide an income from my site.
I has been said many times in the blog post here at Wealthy Affiliate; the help and support of this community is incredible. Members hold a spirit of generosity in offering their help and kindness in the delivery of that assistance.
