Perhaps today you are thinking about the year gone by and the year to come and how you can shift up a gear towards achieving your desires.
Aware that this is a time for reflection and for making new plans I feel inspired to offer some ideas that will put us all on a greater footing for achieving more success than ever before! If you ever have a sense of struggle, or if you ever doubt your ability to succeed, then my intention is to provide an alternative perspective for you to ponder!
There is no question that by following the course here at Wealthy Affiliate, your dreams for a flourishing online business can be realised.
Sometimes, and we all do it to a greater or lesser degree, we make the journey a little harder than perhaps we need to. It has to do with our perception of how life is, in other words our reality. Yet we can mold reality in whatever way we wish to view it. We just need to learn how to mold the clay to our advantage so to speak.

It’s a difficult concept to grasp and a difficult one to explain but suffice to say that in the weird and wonderful world we call life, all is not as it seems! What if, you turned your beliefs for what you perceive to be real, where you are with your business, your finances, your love life or anything you currently are experiencing, completely on its head?
What if you knew that your outcomes were dependent upon your observation of them? In other words, to take your online business as an example, you observed your online business as a flourishing success already – even if you haven’t started your website yet
We are told to visualise and to imagine how we would like things to be but the bit that trips us up is the fact that we don’t really believe it, we are but hopeful of it happening but that’s where it may end. You may think you believe but observation of your thoughts may paint a different story!

Often in our hoping we are saying we want something yet have the thought we haven’t got it and this becomes the real message that we are sending to our brain. It’s important to understand this distinction in order to make the leap from hope to belief to knowing.
This is where it gets exciting. If you hold for a moment the possibility that your success is so, then in this moment you are making a mind shift that is recorded by your brain and new neural pathways are created.
Over time, and not necessarily that long, these new neural pathways that your brain registers as ‘reality’ set to work in such a way that your senses have to create that in your outer world. Boom! You have just created a reality. You then close the gap between perceiving and experience.

Of course the whole picture is way more complex than can be explained here but you can read further on the subject if it interests you.
But you can’t swing back and forth! You can’t know it one day and disbelieve the next, consistency is the key. You must build a solid grid of how this particular part of your life is to be and hold to it so that it becomes the dominant viewpoint.

The great thing is that you don’t even need to understand how your brain and your senses does this. Just as you don’t need to understand how electricity flows to power your home, or how your computer works when you use it. You don’t think about all those subatomic particles and electromagnetic waves flowing through your cables you just accept that when you flick the switch you get power!
Now you have a greater understanding of how using the power of your mind and your brain to create the outcomes you desire is not merely wishful thinking, but every bit dependent upon you training your focus.
In light of this the following exercise, which while it is not new, will guide to creating your new ‘reality’ from a different perspective.

Exercise: Write down how your life is according to what you want to achieve. The rules are that as you write, you write in present tense. You withhold judgement and instead hold expectation of the story as having already unfolded. You use descriptive words that explain how you feel – this is very important.
You can re-write your story any time. Nothing is set in stone – remember it’s your reality! Describe your life as it is (what you desire) from the perspective of your senses, touch, taste, smell, sight and sound. This is very exciting to your mind and your brain and will be more vivid and powerful.
Write as much as you like and as much as you can – at least one full page. Read it back slowly and don’t just read it, feel it as you read it.
Now put the sheet away and let it go from your mind, except hold on to the positive feeling of well being that you have created from the exercise. The positive feeling of well being is all that you need to recall for now. Read your story every morning and just before going to bed for three weeks – during the day let it go from your mind.

When you have done this you will have created a blueprint for success. Have fun with it, enjoy it and watch it unfold.
Remember, success is already yours when you can know it!
