Excited - Apprehensive - Excited !

Loving working on my pages at Wealthy Affiliate and immensely enjoying engaging with this fantastic community.

It seems like I've been working hard for quite a few days straight over the last couple of weeks, but feel I've not been moving forward quite fast enough, well not as fast as I would like.

Plus, I have been wanting to write my first blog but just haven't managed to fit it in yet.

I really wanted to write something inspirational but just felt tired after immersing myself in the training and appeared to have some sort of writers block.

They do say "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" and I guess my ideas (juices) were getting numbed up. We had a couple of family days-out planned for the 31st of August and yesterday, which I was looking forward to and believed that they were just what I needed. The two days were totally different but both were certainly inspiring and in different ways.

Yesterday I was totally inspired and in awe of my eldest son Daniel and five of his close friends. Myself, my wife Verity, mother-in-law and our 7 year old son Matthew, Dan's younger brother travelled to St Just in Cornwall and met up with lots of other well wishers to see Daniel and his friends set off on a 270 mile run to Gloucester (England). They are running an hourly 6 man relay over a 48 hour period in aid of raising money for a little 7 year old girl called Chloe who lives in Gloucester and wants to dance but unfortunately suffers from cerebral palsy.

Before the start of their run yesterday I asked Daniel how he was feeling he answered Excited, Apprehensive, and I guess Excited about what we are setting out to do. I told him that I knew exactly what he meant because only a few weeks ago I had had the exact same feelings about my new venture with Wealthy Affiliate.

Many of you, I would imagine can remember the same sort of feelings when you set out on your WA journey. Perhaps Excited when you first signed up for a free WA account, then Apprehensive at what lay ahead of you and what you needed to do to get going, followed by more Excitement when you started the fantastic training here at WA.

I'm sure the boys will endure a lot of frustration and tiredness especially going up some of the long steep hills, they will undoubtedly suffer the pain and anguish of tired and aching muscles whilst pounding the road. However just remembering why they're doing the run and knowing the support they have from their family and friends helps tremendously. They will of course feel the happiness and joy of their accomplishments as they surpass each milestone, and finally on Saturday morning as they all run the last mile together feel the immense excitement of reaching their goal by crossing the finish line at Chloe's school.

Wealthy Affiliates, I'm sure in your own way, you too will have had or be going through the same sort of emotions during your journey here. I have certainly felt tired and frustrated during some of the trainings for any number of reasons. The pain and anguish (although different) also appears during times when I'm writing and the words just do not seem to flow or I get stuck on something. However just like the boys I know,I can rely on tremendous support here from my WA family 'the community', if I get stuck I know they will help. You too will feel the happiness and joy as you move through the trainings and complete each part, which are your milestones. Of course once your Website is up and running and receiving views you will feel immense excitement with your accomplishments

'Chloe's boys' as she calls them, have all been training hard for the last 6 months and arranged all their own fund raising as well as organising the 'Run for Chloe' itself and all that goes with it. All of them have learnt new skills and put them to good use, just like virtually everyone that has joined Wealthy Affiliate and for those of you just about to start your journey.

Wow! Don't you think the parallels are uncanny.

If any of you are interested in seeing the progress or how the boys have been doing you can contact me and I will be happy to pass on to you the run4chloe facebook page.

I hope this has given you some inspiration for your WA journey and when you come across your up-hills and you begin to struggle, just think of Chloe's boys and push your pain, anguish and frustration to the back of your mind and reach the next milestone to your goal.

Good luck people.

What a wonderful post! Let me say right up front that I am in awe of your son Daniel (and all of Chloe's boys) also. That is so inspirational. And it says a great deal as to how he was raised. Thank you for such an uplifting post.

Continued blessings,
Lynn

I googled Chloe and the boys and found great pictures and articles. :)) One of those boys is Daniel but I do not know which one. Just a beautiful story and I look forward to any follow ups you write.

Please thank Daniel for me for having such a giving heart.

All the best to Chloe's boys - thanks for the post :)

Thank you Jude for being the first to comment on my post. We were at the finish line yesterday along with the other boys families and lots of well wishers. It was fantastic, Chloe was also there and managed to run/walk using her special bike frame the last 50 metres with her 'boys'. Oh my! it was emotional and just and wonderful. I will do a follow- up today now I am back home.

Thanks ...Age...
