How would I get my cpanel login info? NOT the ftp username and password that are under build my website
Hi - if you mean the control panel here - there isn't a CPanel one - just what you see under Build My Website. Everything else is done in WordPress.
What is it you're trying to do?
All the best, Mark
trying to upload my files to my website. I left one hosting company to have my website hosted here and now I'm having trouble getting my files back to my website. A friend of my uses cpanel rather than ftp
Hi - sorry, there is no cpanel here - just FTP.
You could, as Virgie suggests, log a ticket - but I don't think that will get you cpanel.
Sorry, Mark
it won't and I can't upload files in support either. I hired someone to look into this who is an expert in c-panel and ftp and we have come to 2 conclusions: a) a firewall is blocking it--which I took all my firewall settings off and still no result b) lack of permission by the host..so ultimately --why would I want WA to host my website if I cannot access it freely? I'm stuck here for 60 days according to the ICANN rules
Hi - I would suggest turning on your firewall again - without it, your PC/laptop is vulnerable to attack.
If you own your domain, you can change the DNS from your domain hosts control panel - to point to any nameservers - as many times as you like.
Have you raised a support ticket to investigate why you can't FTP? They may be able to check and resolve quickly, if it is at WAs end.
All the best, Mark

Hey! I need to increase my file upload size on my website.. I attached a pic to show you what I mean. It's now at 8MB and I need the max. Can I do this on my own or can this onl
I do not understand why you want to upload on your web site file / image larger than 8Mb.
In case you do not know, the larger the file the more time will be required loading the page. If you really want to rank in Google you need your loading time to be less than 3 sec. (actually Google require 1.5 sec. for a web page to be considered fast enough for ranking first page)
Hi Jamie. good question, a little search on the Wordpress forum brought the following discussion, among others concerning this topic. seems that the file size is a limit set by the web host and not by WP and either way a clear recommendation is to consult your host before trying to perform any changes.

Also note the tutorial link offered by one of the participants in this discussion- http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-increase-the-maximum-file-upload-size-in-wordpress/
Good luck.

Need some help. I bought a new domain, created a WP website following the instructions. It was a success and now I am able to access the admin panel easily. See image
I don't understand FTP very well. I much prefer cpanel hosting. It looks to me like you need to install or upload a backup of your database and posts, pages, etc. Do you have a backup zip file anywhere? Droplr, or at your old hosting company,G Drive perhaps? If you have a saved copy of your posts as you've written them on your computer, that is most of the battle. I'd go back to your old hosting company and ask them on the off chance for a backup. Hopefully, they may keep one if they do back ups, for a week or so, incase you transfer back to them.
Ask Welshy if he can help you. I know he's pretty cluey on a lot of topics similar to this.
Thank you. I will contact my prior hosting company tomorrow since I have no phone until it's delivered to me. I hope they have a back up
Yep..I got a reply and they told me that I need to contact them to help move my content prior to moving my hosting. So this will be a training I will create after they respond to my response. I had no idea that the content does not move unless you go through some steps.. I may just have to start all over
OH no!! I didn't know that either...interesting, I've never heard anyone mention that. I hope you don't have to start over, do you have it backed up?
Hello. What shows up when you click on details to the right of your site name it should still be the same as it was unless you changed user name in word press
my username and password show up; however, there is not a link that gets me to the administration page
I transferred some a week ago to about up to 48 hours ago. I know they would take a few days so I laid low this weekend. Now I wan to install plugins and make some changes. I transferred them from many other hosting companies, but none of them were transferred from Namecheap
