If you have an eCommerce site or an affiliate site that promotes products for companies like Amazon, having a gallery is a great feature that not only gives visitors a great user experience but also puts you in a good standing with Google because of all the internal links that come with it. Installing a gallery is actually quite easy. So Let’s take a look at the steps on how to add a gallery to Wordpress.

Find a gallery plugin

Galleries don’t come preloaded when you install WordPress so you have to do a search for one. I prefer WP Gallery. Search for it and install per the screenshots below.

Insert the gallery

Now that you have the gallery plugin installed you can add it to any post or page you like. The best thing is to add it to a page as this is going to be a centralized area for your visitors to keep returning so a blog roll might not be the best spot.

Insert Your Images

Have some images saved and drop them in as per the screenshot.

Add Text to Your Images

Don’t forget to add some text so people know what they are clicking on.

Add URL's to Your Images

You want people to be able to go to the page they want by clicking the images. This is where you will add the ULR. Every time you do this it counts as an internal link, which creates a great user experience and ranks your site better as well.
