hey friends, a little help here. I would like to change the phrase "just another word press site" on my site to something more suitable for my website. Thank you

Hi, James, did you manage to change "just another word press site" ?

If you didn't click on Appearance>Customize. Now click on Site Header and in Site Description Box delete "just another word press site" and add your own site description appropriate to your site. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

James...Go to dashboard - customize - header - delete

You can remove that the other way. You go to your post section and delete the original content and replace it with your posts.

Thank you

Go to Dashboard, go to Customize, go to Header section, highlight the words, click Delete.

Hi,
Dashboard first.

Click on post it will take you to the post that says Just another WordPress website. Click Delete.

Same in Pages if its there.
Dashboard then Page click it

Click the dummy page Just another WordPress website and click delete.

Hope it helps.

I would like to upload a picture to my website about me page? Appreciate if my dear friends assist me with this. Thank you.

Hello James,
See Loes add pictures lesson for beginners.

When you are in your dashboard doing and creating a post there is a button "add media" just below your title. Press that and then select the upload files.

Easy James. Once you are in the Editor of your website, put the cursor where you want your picture, image, graphic, etc, and at the top-left corner of your editor, you will see ADD Media selection button.
Click on the "Add Media" button.
A dialog box in your Media Files opens with two choices - at the top left corner;
"Upload files", or
"Media Library".
You must upload files (pictures) from your computer first before you select media files, else there will not be any pictures to add to your post. lol.
Click on the "Upload files" - then in the middle of the page click on the "Select Files".
This will go to your computer where you select where on your computer you have your pictures, or files, or whatever you wish to go to your post on your website. Click once on the "File", "Picture", "etc", then click "open" in the bottom right corner of the dialog box.
The "file" or "Picture" will be uploaded to your Media Library of your website. Now, be sure to write information in the "Alt Text" of the Picture (the fourth box from the top "URL").
At the bottom-right of the dialog box select "Left", "Center", or "Right", then size.
You have just submitted a picture to your website.
I hope this helps.
Ken
