My accomplishments and thoughts so far
Hi all!!
Ive been at this for almost three weeks now. I go back to work next week after being off for almost a month after surgery. I still have to take time to rest and am dealing with pain and uncomfort from time to time which takes me away from the computer.
Nonetheless, I have accomplished to write five posts and have learned to add images, and edit the posts with word press. I got into a bit of trouble changing the theme oif the site but managed to change it to one that would work witht the images I was using since I found out that its not that great of an idea to just choose an attractive theme causing it to take too long to open or not open at all. There's still a few things I need to try, like linking a page to a phrase or a pic, or whats a tag about, and little things like that.
Finding a niche wasn't all that hard for me since I have a baby of seven months of age and I noticed that books about babies will always be needed to serve a population thats always growing. I chose to name my site Babybooksworld.com in case anyone wants to visit.
I have come to realize that writing posts does become easier after keeping at it. The tutorials are great and easy to follow. I imagine how my site could end up but I'm taking it a step at a time since I'm still learning and am striving top get the most out of the program.
My goal for the near future is to keep improving my site and attract viewers and buyers alike. Hopefully, money can start rolling in because I'd like to do this full time adding as much information to the site as I can to help all new parents bring up happy and healthy babies leading to better and greater future for our children and their children.
The long run goal here is to work on other niches and have other sites. This will teach me about other subjects I'd like to know more about like sports and schooling. My wife and I just found out she may be pregnant, and if thats the case, that means we'll have two children in school at the same time. I would love to be able to help them with their learning and with sport activities. Needless to say, not having to work for someone else will help with this as well.
Thanks to everyone in the community for being such great help. I have no doubt Im in the right place and that I can move forward here with everyone willing to help and be there for anything. I love it here and don't believe I'd be working on a site on my own without this community, or atleast, I wouldn't be able to get as much done as I have so far in as little time.
