Bucket Lists
Last week I was shopping at Walmart and I had the honor of being checked out by this lovely women. After chatting with her she told that she was blessed to have just celebrated her seventy-sixth birthday. Now me being me, I asked her why in the world was she working at this age of her life. She informed me that she needed the extra income to make ends meet at the end of the month. As I walked away I couldn't help but wonder if this was on her 'bucket list'.
I can't honestly believe that this is something that she wanted to do before she left this life. Every day I add something new to my bucket list and believe me working at Walmart after retirement age is definitely NOT on my list.
Watching this retirement age woman working a cash register motivated me even more to get my online businesses not only running, but also profitable. At that age I want my money to be working for me, not me working for my money. I refuse to settle for a J(ust) O(ver) B(roke). My list includes traveling, taking up golf, learning to fly a single engine plane, just to name a few. By the time I reach retirement age, I'll have more years behind me than in front of me and I mean to enjoy every last one of them.
What's on your bucket list?

Great article Jakie. BigDaddyFred you have it right when you said, "BL" through out your life. When I was 16 I wanted to design and single handedly build my own dream home. It took 28 years before I actually did it, but it starts with a dream, the "BL". And like most people and perhaps yourself, I keep checking them off and pop in a new one here and there.
Great post!
I am at the "bucket list" age and would suggest that we live out our bucket list all our lives. I don't necessarily mean traveling the world, but do the things you really want to do while you are young enough and strong enough.
And here is the really funny thing. Doing WA is kinda a "BL" check off. Love people and social media and WA provides great interaction and fun for me.........
Best Success to you,

Wonderful list you have started. I love your outlook on life and where you see yourself! Good luck...I'm sure you have great things ahead of you!
My favorite beach and to never walk into a Walmart again nevermind work at one! Good thoughts Jackie.
Sadly, I've seen many, many older folks working at Safeway, Walmart, Home Depot. The reason I am here is to hopefully make enough money to be able to do just this, and have freedom to do things that I enjoy
