Why I choose affiliate marketing to create space in my life

(this is a free-flow. please excuse the choppiness)

I'm scared to put myself out there.

I've always tried to do the right thing: go to college, get a job, stay at the company, do what your boss says.

I was pretty good at it, for a while.

But along the way, ticking off boxes of the things I'm "supposed to do" in my adult life, I forgot to find out what it is I really want.

I recently left a company that I was at for the last 7 years. I moved around, got promoted, and learned skills like ass-kissing and saying-I-could-do-something-when-really-it-was-Jenny's-job-and-I-hadn't-been-trained-in-it-but-whatever.

There were layoffs--several times. The only way I was ever able to move up in the company . is if someone left. Each time I survived simply because my salary was lower, I'm young and . ambitious, and well, someone needed to keep doing the work.

(To give you some perspective, I was working in a communications and marketing department for a healthcare company. When Ieft, my job was to build smarttext tools within an electronic medical record.)

I would try and ask for marketing training. After all, I have a master's in health communications.

Every time I asked, I was shot down. My manager called me a whiner and complainer regularly. (Right before I left my job, she was demoted, and her team of 7 dwindled to 1. I was the last one to leave willingly.)

...I'm coming to my point.

Over the 7 years at this job that I wasn't very good at, with people who used be to do work they didn't want, exploiting my hopes for having a fulfilling career at the company, I realized that I didn't want to be at that company, doing unfulfilling work.

But, I'm scared to do what I really want to do.

I love everything about digital marketing, but I'm new at it. And, I don't want to do it just for any business that comes along.

I've had to take a step back and gain skills that can be useful--Google Analytics certifications, ad campaign management, copywriting, blogging, SEO--but I'm realizing it's all such a small piece of what I'm meant to do.

Wealthy Affiliate is helping me realize more and more what I want to tell this world.

I bought Premium because I want to make my site as successful as possible; not just monetarily.

But still... I'm scared!

I want to spread love and light

I've had some profound experiences in the last few years that have helped me remove major blockages from my life and fill me with an energy I've never known before. I'm more confident in myself and my abilities to manifest anything in my life.

To demonstrate the power that everyone has within themselves to manifest the life they want, I'm creating an affiliate site.

I don't know how it will work out, but I have faith in this program and with myself to make it work. My hope is to use the skills I learn here to connect with people who need to hear my messages, who need a boost in their self-care, and who need help finding their voice.

I've always been pushed in this direction, but I've always felt like an imposter. I've never persued it because I fear judgement, hatred, animosity, violence, you name it!

I believe everyone has the power to nourish their body and soul, and there are amazing products and services out there that people can benefit from.

But again...I'm scared.

I'm excited to begin this affiliate marketing venture. I'm excited to share my message. I'm excited to connect readers with healers. And, I'm excited to work from home while deepening my practice.
