Getting Stuck and Moving Forward, My Journey Thus Far.

Making Progress...

I've really enjoyed building my website thus far and I have no plans to slow down. I can't slow down. Wealthy affiliate has been awesome for me. Before it I was roaming the internet looking for anything that could help me start affiliate marketing RIGHT.

Does anyone else struggle with staying focused on just affiliate marketing? Sometimes it feels like my thought process is in a constant state of chaos. One second I want to do affiliate marketing the next I want to invest in real estate, the next I have an idea for a new business. As I start working out the details of everything I remember... I need to focus.

It's been 3 months.

I've been working on my website for 3 months and I only have 3 posts. Why is it taking me so long to make 1 post.

Writing isn't easy for me, not always. I wouldn't really call it writers block either, maybe, I don't know. I do know however I need to put my head down and focus more. I'm to slow, I need to compensate with time.

That really sucks tho, I need to be faster, after all I don't have all the time in the world. Life keeps moving, I need more time. Between work, my relationship, family, and trying to enjoy my teenage years it get's real hard to sit down and right.

lately I put about 12 hours a week into my website. How am I losing all that time?

I got it... I know what I'm doing wrong...

Focus on content.

With everything going on, it's easy to get distracted in doing everything else to better your current posts but, it's equally important to create new content.

for the past 3 months my issue is I focus too much on SEO for my existing posts, making them better, trying to rank in google, rather than creating more, good content to help my website as a whole. I chase perfection in those 3 posts I lose sight of the bigger picture.

Focus on your whole website early on, don't focus on perfecting a small amount of posts. If I recall correctly I want to say they even talked about more content being the key to a successful website.

I'm not saying to better your current posts, Just don't make my mistake of putting too much time into them, know when to be happy and move on.

Moving forward

As I continue my journey down this path looking for financial freedom for myself and to help the ones I love, I will not slow down. I enjoy what I do here at affiliate marketing, I love working from home building a business. Over 3 months I may not have made any money, but I'm working toward success and at the end of the day, I'm proud of what I've made.
