How I Finally Got My SEO Score to Turn Green
Seeing that little green SEO indicator pop up for the first time felt incredibly satisfying.
For a while, my SEO score stayed stuck in orange and sometimes even red, no matter how much effort I put into my blog post. I thought I had done everything right. I had written a good post, added a title, and included my focus keyphrase a few times.
But something was still missing.
After spending more time reviewing my post, I realized the problem wasn’t the content itself — it was where and how I was using my keyphrase.
What I Was Doing Wrong
At first, I only added my focus keyphrase once or twice in the body of the post. I completely forgot that SEO tools look for the keyphrase in several important places, including:
- The blog post title
- The first paragraph
- Subheadings
- The meta description
- Throughout the content naturally
