Leveraging Reddit for content ideas

Alright, so I'm a pretty massive fan of reddit, and over the years I've used it as both a beautifully wonderful way to procrastinate as well as an awesome place to find information. I mean just look at something like reddit.com/r/TIL and searching the top links provides you with some amazing information, additionally things like /r/Lifeprotips is another place to gain useful advice.

If you're new to reddit it's seemingly crude layout may put you off but bear with me...

So my website, still being polished off, is about memory improvement. So in this post I'm going to give a quick outline of how I use reddit to get information about the site.

So I went on /r/neuroscience since that's where a lot of geniuses lurk...it looks like this

So what I like to do is simply post a question such as "what interesting techniques can I use to improve my memory" just in case I missed out on any or if perhaps there's some new study that hasn't yet been published. You'll find the community to be super helpful if you post in the right place.

On a side note, I've often used the site for quick information about Belfast on /r/belfast this could be for finding places to eat to knowing what hotels to stay at.

Additionally you can search through the site using the search bar and decide on what factors you want to limit your search (or else I just type in something in google along the lines of nootropics reddit) and there I'll find a host of communities talking about nootropics and where the best sites are/reviews/companies to be wary of etc.

The site may or may not be for you, but (and I'm sure if you've used it before) you'll find it to be super-useful if you give it enough time and don't get sucked in by all the links and comments.
