Traveling with an online business

One of the main reasons I joined WA is because I'm not so good with the regular schedule of an 8 hour work day. For one, I've always worked at least 10 to 12 hours a day, and for another, I'm not a morning person. I don't hit the pillow until 3 or 4 in the morning, so my early rising is 10AM or so. I know, I'm supposed to go to bed early so I can get up early, but that has never worked out well for me.

Another reason for joining is that I have raised 10 kids, on my own, and am now married to my best friend. We like to travel, and his dream is to become a sports agent. We can do these things, if we had a job online.

Just a side note: We belong to 2 writing groups here in Alaska. Community Writers Group (CWG) and Alaska Writer's Guild (AWG). One of the new members travels for 6 to 8 months of the year. I know! Pretty wonderful! She was explaining how she was able to do that and it included working online.

I worked in Italy for a month and it's my dream to move there, and still do my writing :)

That would be fun! My daughter lived there for a few years. He husband is in the military. She sent some pretty fabulous pictures back. I'd love to visit!

It is a beautiful country. We go 2-3 times a year when possible :)

My daughter struggled with not having the comforts we are used to here in the US, and I wonder if it's her age. The things that she missed didn't seem like a big deal to me. Do you just visit short term? Or are you there long enough to really get a local feel? I know you wrote that you lived there for a month, but what kind of housing were you in? I know, I ask lotsa questions!

We rented an apartment for the month. I have been to Rimini around 20 times now so know the area well as well as having made some friends. I understand what she means about comforts as some of the amenities are pretty basic, but for me it adds to the charm of the country and I don't mind :)

The ability to travel and work for yourself is also what led me here! I wish you much success and the best in all your endeavours!

Thanks! Wouldn't that be the best of all worlds? To be able to live wherever you want, or to live everywhere, and still make a living? I'm looking forward to it.
