Lessons From Spirit - Yes, You Are Responsible
I am guilty of many things in my life, but there is one thing that really stands out and I notice it with everyone. Because you don't know how to do something is not an excuse (after you become an adult). Because you don't know how to balance your budget correctly and you are broke - is not an excuse. Because you are in a job that you hate and it is sucking the life out of you because you didn't know how to search your soul - is not an excuse. Because you never learned it as a child - is not an excuse. Because your mother never explained it - is not an excuse. Because you didn't have the support as a teenager - is not an excuse. Because no one ever did it before you - is not an excuse. Because you had a horrific childhood - is not an excuse. Because you don't know what someone else is going to think - is not an excuse.
If you are looking at your life as an adult and it looks nothing like you "thought" it would, you've got some work to do. Way too often, we say "But, I didn't learn, I didn't know, I don't know how, No one ever showed me, etc." SO WHAT!! Are you an adult? If you are reading this, most likely you are. So, you know what that means? If you don't know HOW to do something or you WANT to do something differently to change a pattern or better yourself, you'd better find out HOW to do it or else you risk repeating this moment five years from now. Does your budget suck? Then, find a program online that teaches you HOW to do it better. Or, find someone in your life that has great, healthy budgeting skills and talk to them. Does your health suck? Join a gym, talk to a fitness coach or look online for some simple ways you can start making a difference and get back on track. Are you in a job that you absolutely hate? Then search your soul and find out what will make you happy and where you can contribute to life the most. When you've found that answer, start researching your field and find out what you need to get into it. Do you want to go back to school? Then get online and research your options. There are plenty. Plenty colleges, plenty of financial aid, plenty assistance from college advisors. Make the phone call. Fill out the application.
Once you are an adult, you absolutely do NOT have an excuse to be in the situation that you are in. If you don't like where you are - change it. And, if you chose not to change it, stop complaining about it. No one deserves your emotional and verbal vomit. No one wants your emotional and verbal vomit. And, you don't have the right to emotionally and verbally vomit all over someone else. Now, I am quite aware that sometimes it takes quite a bit of personal growth and development to push you out of the "stuckness" that you may feel you are in. Search up "personal growth and development" online and there are many, many resources (free and paid) where you can start. Mary Morrissey and Bob Proctor happen to be two of my favorite authors and transformational coaches in the world. They can give you some beginning sources of how you can do it or do it better.
The point is, you have to do it. You are required by life to do it. God (or Spirit) did not put you back on this earth for you to drag your heels and complain. You have a purpose. Find it. Sometimes things happen beyond our control and sometimes life arbitrarily gets in the way and throws us life lessons that we must hurdle over. But, the object is to jump the hurdle, not lay down and pull it on top of us hoping we don't get hit by anything else. Stand up and dance your way over that thing. Yes, you're welcome.
