The day has come! #AmazonAffiliate
I was waiting for the email from Amazon Affiliate Programme and I got it:
We are writing to notify you that your Amazon.co.uk Associates Programme account has been closed due to a lack of activity. It is our programme policy to close accounts that do not register three sales within 180 days of account creation.
You are free to reapply to the Associates Programme at any time but we recommend only doing so once your site is established and receives consistent traffic.
Lesson learned and notice to others - first gain traffic and afterward join the Amazon Affiliate Programme!

Thanks for the advice. I am halfway there without a single sale. It took me two months to finish developing my site. I hope it will increase its traffic and I receive a few sales soon, or else I should expect to receive a similar letter in 90 days.
This happened twice to me at the the start, and is really frustrating.
Just reapply, keep adding content and building your site out.
I applied to both UK and US Amazon as that is where most of traffic is, but I struggled to get US one accepted initially.....but finally okay now.
