Connecting in the time of social isolation.

I am writing from Latvia. We are alo "enjoying" the social distancing and isolation. Today the restrictions got enchanged. As we all know humans are social beings and such isolation is psychologically hard for us. Of course in the time technologies we have tools to partially solve this issue. "Partially", because nothing can be compared with a real life interaction and conversation. Still some tools try to come as close as possible.

From time to time a discover some new things for me and post it here in case you find it useful. This time it's a face-to-face social network "Houseparty" (houseparty.com). It's an app which can be downloaded to iOS, Android, macOS and Chrome.

Up to 4 people can join a party and share a screen. You can add people from you contacts and friends on Facebook (invite to use Houseparty if they don't use it). You can speak, play games (few games are already included in the app) etc. They have also a blog (https://medium.com/@houseparty).
