Sacrifices and Planning

Hey everyone,

Eric here from Richmond Quebec.

Today I want to talk about making sacrifices and planning to achieve or attain something we want.

It's nothing new that everyone wish to be able to get everything they want at the moment they want it. I know for myself whenever I walk into a store there is always something I would like to be able to buy. A tool, a movie, a new video game, new pants, t-shirts and so on..

But like probably most of us out there, I am restrain from my budget. Yes that good old budget of ours!

So what can we do in order to get something we want at the moment we want it.

Sacrifice and Planning! Here’s is my own way to reverse this problem. I decided that from now on when I want something I will plan ahead and make sacrifice in order to obtain it. In example: right now I would really like to buy the new ps4 console that just came out. Can I afford it right now? NO!

So in order for me to be able to get it let's say by June, I will have to put aside a minimum of 600-700$ in order to be able to get a game with it.

To achieve this I will need to save 100$/month since there is 7 months to go. Now I’m not going to go in details about my budget here because well it is MY BUDGET but know that I will plan ahead and I know what sacrifice will need to be made, I know I will be able to get it.

So why telling you all this? You probably already know all this right? Yes but do all of us put it to action? NO!

So I decided today to post this as a reminder that what we want is always achievable as long as we can plan ahead and make some sacrifices. This also goes for any type of things, a car, a house, a vacation.

Making plans and sacrifices is sometimes all we need in order to get what we want.

On a last note, it is also very important to revise our budget at least every 2 months because sometimes we go overboard and revising our budget can free up some money we didn't knew we had!

Great day everyone,

Eric Loiselle

About 3500 citizens.

I agree completely with you but compare to Richmond it is big.

How many people live in Richmond?

Yes it is friend!
Cool Magog is a big city! Richmond you can't afford to blink more than twice or else you'll miss it! Lol

Magog is small town, Sherbrooke on the other hand is bigger:)

Thanks Nenita!
Richmond is about 1h45 minutes from Montreal. It's between Drummondville and Sherbrooke In direction of Quebec.

Is that in the Eastern township? I know Drummondville and Sherbrooke I used to live in Magog...

Very well said, thanks for sharing. BTW, where is Richmond in Quebec I'm from Montreal...Nenita
