There are companies like icodes.com that do that sort of thing.. You can either choose to pay upfront or you agree to give up every 3rd or 4th sale for free or something like that. There are other companies that do this kind of thing as well. But it's getting way more competitive and those types of coupon-like sites are becoming less loved by the likes of Google and others.

As for the Living Social and Groupon type of sites, I am not sure what Living Social's vendor arrangement is, but with Groupon vendors pay them 50% for the deal. You could somehow work with vendors and have deals that you promote for them for less than that 50%.

If you want to pursue this, my suggestion would be to approach companies like Groupon and Living Social as if you wanted to be a vendor and see what is involved. Then you can make decisions based on that information.
