Don't Give Up! Create a legacy

I wanted to write this for all those people out there who might be thinking about giving up on your dreams. Well I say don’t!

Take it from someone who has had success lost it, built it up again and then seen it all go because of the current situation in our world.

3 Years ago I had built up a successful business running a digital marketing company, I have been in this game for 15 years and yes you can make money online, mine wasn’t through affiliate marketing though but Web design and SEO. I became really good at it and started getting referrals and more business. I made a big mistake by growing too fast, taking on staff, renting offices, before I knew it, I was paying out more than I had coming in. The result was I had to shut down a business that turned over 6 figures a year for me at the time. I learned some hard lessons from that experience.

Once I stopped blaming everything and everyone else and looked at the one reason why it did not work, which was Me and my ego! I then brushed myself down and started again, again I built up my business, but this time I kept my overheads low, I outsourced a lot of work got some old clients back and new ones and then it all went again, how you may ask? Well you see my business was mainly SEO for local businesses especially Brick and mortar companies, those shops that rely on customers walking through their doors. So guess what, as soon they were told to close their doors what was the first thing they do? They stop all their online marketing.

Okay, I could see this as devastating news, I could throw my hands up in the air and say what’s the point! But let me ask you something?

“do you want to be that person were everyone says, they've failed again. I hope I don’t end up like them or… do you want to be that person were people say I hope I can become like you one day?”

It is all about the legacy that you leave and I know I want my children and Grandchildren to be proud of me, it is all about seeing opportunities when nobody else does and it’s all about never giving up.

For me, this is now the opportunity I have been waiting for, something I have put off for years. I have been forced by circumstances to take a whole fresh look at what I want to do with my life and it’s exciting.

Keep pushing forward, don’t give up and build your legacy
