Remember why you started
This post is about motivating myself more than anything else! I have just finished Course 1 of the Affiliate Bootcamp and have started with Course 2. My website is up and running (www.happinessatwork.siterubix.com), I have written various posts, my WA review and diligently completed all the activities provided in each lesson.
It feels like the "honeymoon" phase is slowly wearing off and I am settling into the daily craft of living with Wealthy Affiliate. You know, we don't get heart palpitations waking up next to each other any more; it's more of a comfortable co-existence. And if I were brutally honest, I could imagine that this is where a lot of people lose interest and wander off.
Instead of entertaining those thoughts, I am looking at the reasons why I started.
Am I making a substantial passive income? Not yet.
Have I been liberated from the daily grind of the 9 to 5? Nope.
Have I learned everything I wanted to about creating an online business? Not even close.
Even though the pace seems to have stabilized, I am feverishly looking at my accomplishments to date and reminding myself that THIS PHASE is what makes or breaks a business. To be successful I HAVE to push through this phase. I'm not where I need to be, yet and I will never get there if I don't persevere. Until I have accomplished all my goals, I need to push through and remember why I started in the first place.

Glad to see you are keeping apace Erica. There is much to learn at Wealthy Affiliate. You might want to look at the latest 2016 Google Hummingbird algorithm to see how well it matches with your namesake!
Hi Susanne, Thanks for the comment. Glad to hear there are others that have similar experiences!
Agreed, and now that you're Premium, you may want to consider purchasing a domain name. Subdomains will only take you 'so far' in the online world.
Hi Mel, definitely! It's on my list for the next couple of days. I've had a look already but the ones I want (the ones most directly related to my niche) aren't available :(
Hopefully I will find one I like soon.
Thanks for your comment!
Hi, thanks so much for reading my article and for your comment. I hope you are doing well!
That's such a good point - many do give up at this stage and only by pushing through it can we get to where we want/need to be :)
