Health And Fitness.Good For Business
Sometimes you find yourself working so hard on your business it's easy to neglect other important things like your health and fitness.
It's something I have definitely been guilty of in the past. However I recently made a promise to myself not to let my health and fitness slip any longer.
As a youth I was encouraged to compete in sport, and I did quite well at it. Competition no longer interests me however, so fitness for me is all about maintaining my health and to help keep a positive frame of mind.
I figured having those two things had to be great news for my business too.
Just 2-3 hours of exercise each week, and keeping to a healthy diet (most of the time) ought to keep me working and functioning at full capacity.
How much exercise you do however is of course dependent upon your current fitness level, and you need to start off slowly if you haven't done any exercise for a while
Are you managing to keep yourself quite fit and healthy as you build your business? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Yes we need to have good exercise and rest to feed our creative minds and bodies. When I was younger I took my good health for granted, and yet as we age we should not.
I try to eat very healthy with a splurge day, yet everyday I try to exercise away from the computer, and enjoy the beautiful day outside, then with creative juices charged finish more work. Balance in all things is possible and needed.
Thanks for the post.

You’re right Bill, getting the balance right is so important. Working without having regular breaks is counterproductive. Just a casual walk and a little fresh air can make all the difference.

Good post... Now in 1 year, I've been able to drop My weight 21Kg (46lb).
I'm going jogging and I'm raising the weight plates. I'll watch a little what to eat. Weekends I don't look what I eat, 😁
Wow, Mattila that is inspiring losing all that weight and gaining strength too...Keep it up.
Yes I do agree though, you need some cheat days too 😆

Me and my family has taken part in different challenges in the fitness area, I guess you can say, during this pandemic.
Me and my husband are runners and there are many challenges you can take on, if you want to run.
But the most long lasting challenge, that we are still a part of, is the Virtual Race Across Tennessee.
The challenge stared in May and finishes end of August. By then we have walked and/or run on average 8,3 km or approx 5 miles a day or a total of over 1000 km or 635 miles in 4 months......
This has been my life line during the pandemic....at least I have not gained any weight :).
Veronica
Hi Veronica,
That’s an awesome challenge, you have done incredibly well to do 5 miles everyday since May. It’s great that you have managed to keep the weight off during lockdown, so many people must have piled on the pounds during this time. Best wishes to you and your husband for the remainder of the challenge.

Hi Ray,
The pity is that people tend to be very blase about it all, however, the benefits from exercise are so importantly beneficial they cannot be placed to one side. These as you allude to encompass not only exercise but additionally diet, supplements and strengthening the mind.

Hi Rami,
I agree, both diet and exercise are so important, yet they are too easy to neglect.
