Business Owners Need The Internet !
A friend of mine owns a retail shop in the centre of town. For as long as I’ve known him he has always been against any kind of online presence for his business, which is of course very rare this day and age.
He has never felt any need for a website or social media page for his business. He has built his livlihood through face to face interaction with his customers, something which he has always been very good at.
When I saw him again recently however his whole outlook had changed. He was looking into the costs involved in hosting and promoting a website, and had already created a business page on Facebook.
He was the last person I ever expected would use the internet to help expand his business. It just goes to show that if you know how to build websites, then a business near you probably needs you.
People are constantly searching for products online, it makes sense to learn how to promote them...
More People Than Ever Before Are Shopping Online !
An out of town shopping centre near to where I live has, for as long as I can remember, always been packed with shoppers, especially weekends. Most days you have to arrive early to get a decent parking space closer to the shops.
Recently I found out that even before Covid 19 the centre had massive debts. It made no sense, the place was always full of people.
However, the local news reported that although the centre was always full, many shoppers didn’t spend their money there. They often go there to look at the products they want, but they still buy them online.
Everything at this plush shopping centre is designed in way to make you purchase products. Relaxing music, places to eat, and subtle adverts. Yet people still choose to buy online.
It seems inevitable that more and more people are going to choose to shop on the internet.
The skills that enable you to effectively promote the products that people are searching for online have never been more in demand.

It is true, I spend more online than I ever did before, and I will go to the store sometimes just to see what is available before returning to purchase online.
