An out of town shopping centre near to where I live has, for as long as I can remember, always been packed with shoppers, especially weekends. Most days you have to arrive early to get a decent parking space closer to the shops.
Recently I found out that even before Covid 19 the centre had massive debts. It made no sense, the place was always full of people.
However, the local news reported that although the centre was always full, many shoppers didn’t spend their money there. They often go there to look at the products they want, but they still buy them online.
Everything at this plush shopping centre is designed in way to make you purchase products. Relaxing music, places to eat, and subtle adverts. Yet people still choose to buy online.
It seems inevitable that more and more people are going to choose to shop on the internet.
