WOW, I made Ambassador

Wow, what a surprise, I was visiting my profile page yesterday after noticing my ranking had rocketed up around 2000 places and saw that I had made Ambassador (3 days so far...). I am still not sure what this means in the way of any tangible benefits but just the knowledge that what I have been doing lately, as I have got back into this internet marketing boots and all, has been of value to the community as a whole.

I have been here for about 2 1/2 years now and haven't made any money as yet, but the last year and a half have been pretty quiet as I have been through a separation and had to set out on a new life in a new land with a language I don't understand with my son, so never really had the impetus to spend time doing much online.

Now that we are both settled in Finland, job is going well and my son is mastering the language life has regained some normality, so I have time and motivation once again to start doing more with WA. I have relocated my personal blog here and rebranded into a more commercial travel blog site (www.aroundrock3.com) and have developed a new site with my son (9 years old) all about Minecraft (www.minecraftworld.co) and am enjoying developing these into the wee small hours of the morning and especially enjoy teaching my son about business and internet marketing, which he is picking up well. I also enjoy getting sidetracked to answer questions where I have the knowledge and providing feedback on peoples sites.

I guess the challenge now is to retain Ambassador status (and see what it brings) and hope like hell that a good idea (or 2) coupled with commitment, good content and a good marketing strategy will one day result in an online business of the magnitude my son hopes for.... (He has promised me that we are 50/50 partners and that when he is earning a real income from the site that he will make sure he takes care of his mother and sister as well.)
