New Websites and Post Length
Some days ago I wrote a post here at WA and I asked for other members' views on post length for new websites. I did so after reading a very interesting article from a fellow WA member who suggested that brand new websites should target keywords with a very low QSR (50 or less) and should publish articles with 2000 words ore more.
I have to say, I started following this advice less than 10 days ago and my new articles are already ranking better than my older ones.
When I created my new website some months ago I just wanted to add some content to get my website going and to motivate myself. I wrote 8-9 articles with 1000-1500 words and with a QSR lower than 100. None of these older articles are in Google's top 100 results yet.
In contrast, 2 of my last 5 articles (2000 words or more and QSR lower than 50) are already on page 4 and 5 of Google's search results.
So I guess that tip really works.
I know it takes more time to search keywords that have very low competition and to write articles with over 2000 words, but it's probably worth it to increase your website's authority faster.
Thanks for reading and stay well!
