Trying to be a Digital Nomad

My husband Tom and I love to travel. We couldn't, of course, this past year. But since some restrictions have been discontinued, we packed up our things and went to a different region of Spain. The beautiful Andalucía.

Before we bought our house in Murcia we traveled the south coast of Spain for a year. Blogging every day and visiting all kinds of places.

In truth? We just blogged and knew nothing about any rule nor the possibility to monetize a blog. Blogging every day sounds like quite an accomplishment. But it was more of a diary or publishing a photo with a caption. :)

Nevertheless, you would think that we are used to writing while away from home.

Whether it's being out of practice for over a year or the fact that we're blogging 'more seriously' now, I don't know. But I really have trouble getting into a rhythm. I forgot to email my list. It took me quite a while before I finally finished one article.

Don't worry. I am not beating myself up that I am not living up to my standards at the moment. I'm just wondering what's causing it and if that's going to change in the coming weeks.

Has anyone had the same experience and what did you do about it?

It is change, Hannie
Your routine is no more and perhaps you have distractions around you and you are finding it quite hard to get back into a routine.

Don't try so hard, it will come back to you before you know it
Enjoy your adventure. Looking forward to us reading more about it :)

Thanks for your uplifting words, Simone, and I will :)

Awesome :)

Enjoy your vacation, road trips are great for rejuvenating your mind body and soul.

No need to beat yourself up for not being perfect, grin. Like we all do, I'm sure to some respect.

You might have forgotten to send email list, but you sent it now that you realized, yes?

Good, then you're back on track.

Also, write about your vacation like you used to do.. that will bring back warm memories, and get you back into the rhythm of writing again.

"Well, I've never been to Spain..." song by the Three Dog Night, comes to mind....

Rudy

Oops, no, Rudy, I have still not sent it. But I am enjoying myself. We just did a mountain walk that was quite a challenge on my vertigo. But I did it so I intend to glow all day, LOL.

I don't know that song, I will look it up :)

Thanks, Hannie

LOL, that song is funny. Poor singer, never been to England or heaven either 😂

Lol...ah, the 70s....grin

You probably need to think of it less as an assignment and more as something you do as part of an adventure as you did when you were travelling.

Ohh, that's a good remark, Hugh. You are right!! I should be more relaxed about it :)
Thanks, Hannie.

You are always welcome Hannie

Its interesting! A person gets so used to a routine and it happens like clockwork. But changing a routine takes effort.

Your diary website sounds very interesting and very helpful for people planning to travel in those areas. Your post give first hand info.

We wish you much success as you journey on.

Thanks, George. Indeed, changing a routine takes an effort. Your remark makes me realize that this is the case now. This is good because I am convinced it's healthy to change routines every once in a while :-)

Wishing you all the success as well!
