Meeting a WA-friend in real life

Last week Tom and I visited Taetske (@laparra1) and Michael in their self-created paradise. Such a lovely visit, such a great place they live in!

We live about 5 hours apart by car, but from the holiday bungalow we stayed in it was only an hour's drive. We were wondering what the weather would do as we got up that morning in a complete fog. But as you can see in the pictures, it was nice and sunny during lunchtime. :)

Taetske and Michael treated us to a tasty lunch on their patio.

All pictures are mine, except this one which is made by Michael.

Before driving to La Parra, we visited the botanical garden in Málaga. It's an old garden with huge trees. Not as many flowers as I expected - after all it's May. The trees were magnificent however and I did spot a Strelitzia. For me, that's the ultimate Spanish flower. We have it in our own garden as well, just not as nice as this one was.

Taetske is the first WA-friend I have met in real life. Let's hope travel restrictions are soon gone, so I can meet more. :)

Good morning Hannie,

What a fantastic thing to be able to do, I have never met a Wealthy Affiliate member in real life, as yet! However, I would like to!

I have never been to Spain, I'm from the UK and my wife is from Northern Greece, it's something that I would like to do. It's great that you had such a good time, it's also good to share our experience with other Wealthy Affiliate members.

Yes, it's a great thing to be able to do, Roy. And there are a lot of WA-members in the UK, aren't there?
I have never been to Greece. It's on my bucket list! :)

Thank you for your reply, it's appreciated.

You're correct, there are quite a few members in the UK, I guess being busy I haven't taken the initiative to meet up with people. However, it's definitely something that I need to be thinking about as I feel is a very constructive move to make.

Greece is a very nice country with great food and great people. I guess the advantage with Spain over Greece is the fact that the winters are warmer. Although, compared to the UK, the winters in Greece are much warmer than the UK winters! In fact, I refer to the "Greek winter" as in inverted commas, it's not really what I call a winter!

I do hope that your online journey is going well and coming together.

So cool, there have been a few of these WA member meet up's lately, and many over the years have taken place. What would be really cool is having a big meet-up one day, with a bunch of members here within the community! That would be so awesome.

Anyways, thanks for sharing Hannie and it looks like you guys had a great time!

That's awesome, Hannie! The scenery and hosts were first rate and the weather looked phenomenal! What a GREAT life experience! It was nice seeing you all together, and that flower looks more like some sort of exotic bird with its plumage!
