Never Give Up, You Can Succeed At This
Please do not take this blog as being bragadocious! Even though, while writing this I do feel an immense sense of pride in myself for all of my hard work.
I am a single mother, I have one 16 year old son, and a 20 year old daughter that I raised on my own on a single income. It was immensely difficult to make ends meet at most times, and there were many birthdays where all I could do for my children was bake them a cake from scratch. Even though they didn't get presents like other kids, they grew up knowing that no matter what, I was never going to give up and that they were loved more than anything!!
I discovered Affiliate Marketing and being an Entrepreneur starting in 2001, starting with Global Domains International (a.k.a. GDI).
I began learning little by little how to work Affiliate Marketing, and still only ever made just enough to keep paying for my affiliate sites. Today, GDI and I are still going strong!!
Then I discovered Wealthy Affiliate (a.k.a. WA)...
While I am not making money yet from my affiliation here, WA has given me the knowledge, resources and training to grow leaps and bounds in business and all of my other affiliations!!!
I am also not what I would call rich, but my children and I are living comfortably enough now, that I was just able to pay for my son's Worldstrides trip to Washington, D.C. and Williamsburg, which for him alone, costs $2500.
I was also able to send my younger brother earlier this last month, enough money to rent a car, drive from Kentucky ot Nevada to come visit us, as well as being able to have enough money for food, fun, and souvenirs while I showed him Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe and Virginia City here in Nevada.
And I still haven't broke my bank account.
This is my younger brother and his family while we were visiting Tahoe:
THE BENEFITS OF WORKING ONLINE
At first, I was down on myself believing that I was never going to make it. I wasn't good enough to make my own business work online. Yet I kept striving on, working anywhere approximately 1 hour per night on the weeknights, and sometimes 10 hours split throughout the weekend.
I was not a creative person, and I felt blocked many times. I am not a hugely social person, or at least I wasn't in the past. And I was always very down on myself.
Now, All because I kept working this Affiliate Marketing thing, learning with WA since 2014, I am now living a comfortable life that I love living!!
Below is my son, also hanging out during our trip to Tahoe!
FINAL WORDS
Don't give up! Stay focused, and remember... content, content, content.
Throw in some socializing here and there, and you will get to your goals!! I never thought I would, but here I am, being able to travel, and give my kids opportunities that I was never able to have!!
All while raising them on my own!!

Hi Heather,
I am a huge fan of Dr Phil..lol.. good ole Dr Phil but I learned so much from his teachings when I was raising my daughter and twin boys who are all 20/16/16 respectively.
One thing I remember him saying about single moms, (and they were doing it tough etc) was, they had to work even harder at raising/disciplining/rewarding kids than those with 2 parents. And I believe it would be so true!
So hats off to you, for not only raising your beautiful family, but building an online business, income and fun lifestyle you all enjoy - and you are even giving to extended family!
Well done, you deserve so much more and you will probably get it with your determination. All the best on all your endeavors online and to you and your children as well!
Best regards, Sharon
Thank you so much for this post. I really meant for this to encourage those just starting out and feel as if they are struggling and don't think they can make it!!
Your praise though did bring tears to my eyes, not because I feel like I have had to struggle, but because you took the time to read my material and comment.
Thank you so much for your kindness, and your own ability to reach out to others and encourage them to continue on!

That's excellent! I love your story. Well, its a lot like mine except I just started a year ago and I'm not yet making money but I know it will be any day. So hearing you gives me the courage to power on! Thank you and keep up the awesome work!
Yes, keep on keepin on!! Especially in this world!! It can be frustrating but also oh so rewarding!!
I could write and article while watching my children run around and play, I could write a rough draft of an article on the beach, or at least the idea of one, while camping or just having a picnic and still spending that fun quality time with my children.
You can be there quickly, just keep going is all I can say!! It is very rewarding!
Thank you for taking the time to read today's blog and commenting!
