Have a target before you log on to WA

Hi there.

As you guys all know WA is very addictive. There is so much information out there that it's very easy to get lost into it all and lose focus on the task at hand. Especially for the newbies like me.

It has happened to me so many times that I perform a quick search in the search box at the top for something, find a blog post or training as the answer, then look at some comments which direct me to another training which has caught my eye, and from there go onto the live chat and follow the discussions e.t.c

Before I know it, I've just spent an hour flying around WA.Then when my times up and I have to go I look back and realise, hang on a minute, I haven't actually done much today.

Sincere advice, for myself as well. Before you log on to WA make sure you have a list of targets for the day. Even if they are just the targets of training.

What I like to do is make a list of targets before I log on. Make sure that before I fly around WA I have completed those targets.

Once your targets are completed then give yourself some time to just browse around WA. You will pick up so much on the way, So much advice and tips which will help you down the line if not right away.

And don't forget, before you log off make it a habit to visit the classrooms, find a damsel in distress and offer your help where you can. Try to help at least two people on WA before you leave each session. WA works both ways. We all take help from WA but we are also able to offer help.

Make your session at WA a productive one.

Enjoy the WA journey.

Regards

There are so many ways you can get distracted in your work. With so much information available it is actually hard not to be distracted.

I do work from a list each day. I will add things that are of interest to me to another list during the day. I will also bookmark posts that have some relevance that I can check out later.

I do also try to schedule an hour or two every week to explore some of those things that are of interest and to discover more things here within WA.

Thanks for the reminder to focus!

Your welcome. I havnt used bookmarks yet to bookmark posts. That's a really good idea. Have not thought of that
Thanks for the heads up
