To be honest, I got stuck in working on my site. Primarily because when I first joined WA, my vision was to create one site that did it all. As I was trying to make that happen, mostly in my head, I had the realization after reading many of the posts here, that I could have several sites meeting their individual purposes. With that said, I have been working on "finishing" out my initial site, which is primarily intended to market myself as an educational consultant. I will then move onto my next site, which will be my "true" affiliate marketing site. I am happy to finally have this clarity, even though it slowed me down quite a bit. It makes more sense for me and allows me to be more free with my work rather than getting so stuck.

I am currently able to put in 1 - 2 hours a day as I have significant responsibilities taking care of my son who has an autoimmune illness called PANS. He is currently home bound and has been for the past year and a half. This is a HUGE change for us, but one that brings us many blessings when we can get past the horror of the illness. We are fortunate that it is not a terminal illness, that we have the resources to care for our son, and that we have the time, knowledge, and skills to get him what he needs. This change has also drastically altered my life course and for that I am finding daily rewards!

I am off to comment on fellow WA blogs, follow new friends, and then finish out my site...but first breakfast for my boy!

May blessings abound!

Hi Heather
Thanks for your comment on my Challenge Day 1 blog post. I had to look up PANS - you have my sympathy - it's challenging enough being a mum, without adding the stress of a sick child.
Now about those LEGOS! Perhaps we could exchange ideas! We are past the lego stage at our house - for the moment, although our youngest who turns 13 this year, still loves them (so do !!) and we occasionally get stuck with piles of half-completed things that we Are Not Allowed To Touch! Why is it that Lego HAS to be dumped out on the floor right where people walk?
I'll be watching your challenge!
Cheers
Ellie

Ellie, thank you for taking the time to learn about PANS. It is something that I am passionate about raising awareness as we were being sent down the path of mental illness as so many other children are whose parents don't know how to research, trust their intuition, or have the advocacy skills.

LEGOS, I also love them and we have built out sets all over the house and the bin of extras and unbuilt sets for creative play. I've recently ordered some large clear plastic tubs to put the biggest built out sets in and their accompanying parts so they aren't collecting dust, can stack giving us more floor space, and be seen to easily access when the boys want to play with them! We are also building cabinets in our bonus room and will store the "Lego bin" in their and off the floor. My sons have shelves in their rooms that are all filled with their favorite sets. Mostly I need to get them off the floor, so I am hoping we'll be happy with the tubs that we can see in.

Cheers to you!

Oh. My. Goodness! Sounds like you need a whole Lego ROOM! Not just a plastic bucket! You gotta love the stuff eh!
We were pretty poor, growing up and our parents couldn't afford Lego. My grandmother had one set - a London Bus - and we were allowed to play with that if we were sick or when we visited (she lived next door)
When our eldest child was about 2, we went to a friend's home (and elderly couple) for a meal and this 2-year-old child sat and played with the Lego for about 2 hours straight. He always was - and still is - very focused if it's something he enjoys and he's also extremely creative. Anyway - the friend said 'I can see you've got a lot of Lego at your house!' and I replied - 'No - we don't have any at all!' She couldn't believe it and the next day, there was a knock at the door, and this dear old lady was standing there with an ice-cream container of Lego for our son! That was the beginning of our collection, which, while it's not as big as yours, has grown right along with our 5 kids.
Keep in touch!
Ellie

Yes, Legos have been my Oldest Son's mainstay this past year and a half so we have splurged to give him some relief. And I do enjoy it myself, he he!

Congratulations Heather and best wishes for your challenge , you will grow so much .
