After my then 10 year old son contracted PANS I had to take a family medical leave of absence to stay home and care for him. This lead to me needing to leave my job that I loved and had been successful in for 18 years. This past year and a half have been incredibly difficult as my family has fought to save our oldest...and we are winning! During this time of researching PANS and learning about the brain I have also had time to think about my own passions, skills, and knowledge and I've come to realize that I HAVE TO SHARE what I know. But how? I know a lot about behavior and supporting kids who are challenging. I know a lot more about the brain than I ever wanted to. I know more now about health and nutrition and how it affects the brain and behavior and mood. I know about parenting a child with PANS and continuing to parent a child who doesn't have PANS. And I know how hard it was for us to get the information we needed for diagnosis and treatment. It was countless hours of research.

On my own personal journey of self discovery, I have learned to be open to what is possible. I have learned to have gratitude for all that I DO HAVE. I have learned to love in the face of adversity and to never give up. And as I have settled into this place of gratitude and love, things have begun to come to me. Not ideas in my head, but literally come to me, through friends, through social media, through my inbox. And I have paid attention and am finding that it can all come together! My knowledge can become a product that I can share with others so they don't have to do all the work. I can send them to other great sites and products and help them heal. I can finish my book and promote it. I can work from home and care for my son as he continues to heal. I can have the financial freedom that I want without worrying about how we will cover the medical expenses.

This is my response to going premium. This platform will meet my needs beautifully and I am very excited to be moving forward!

Blessings abound!

Lovely sentiments. Life can become difficult when real problems surface for anyone. We are so lucky in the UK that medical bills are all free. Can that not happen for the US too? Surely it would make so many lives easier.

Members of my family are disabled - both my kids are. Doesn't stop them being so loveable though, does it?

Very best of wishes to you all - I hope you all get the chances to enjoy life.

Andre

It is not likely that medical bills will ever be free in the US...it is BIG business and, unfortunately, big business runs this country, even though the people vote!

And yes to loving our children, disabilities, imperfections, illnesses and all! Mine have taught me so much, more than I ever new I needed to learn!

Enjoyed your post, may you achieve your goals. Best of luck!
