Motion Sensor Lights are People Too!
Good afternoon everyone!
I'm so looking forward to a long weekend of writing. The last few weeks have been - not really a dry spell, because I'm still publishing slowly, but definitely a slower flow.
And that's okay.
I've been thinking about our long term goals. I start my PhD in the fall, and my stepdaughter has two years left of high school. We want to convert a school bus into a skoolie, and I want to do my research on the road.
We have...about three to five years (depending on how fast i get this doctorate done), and it's okay to take a little time to get this monster up and running.
I will say though, that I cyclically get SO excited to pump out articles of education, and then look at the reviews and groan - but then I get all up in the review grill, and dread the education articles.
Just keep plugging away, friends. Your timeline is your own - and if you can only manage one article a week - it's still better than no article a week!
Some of us are candles, some of us are fireworks, and some of us (like me) are motion-sensor lights, with gigantic bursts of productivity sometimes, and darkness others.
Whatever you are - your journey is part of what is teaching your skillsets that are valuable. Learn, take time to enjoy the pieces that make a whole, and celebrate the steps along the way!
Best,
Hilary

Hi, Hilary wishing you all the best on your Ph.D., you will get through this in no time, I guess I am a motor sensor light, I wish I could produce an article every day, but it doesn't seem to work for me Wishing you all the best on your journey.
Thank you so much! I think there are more motion sensor lights around than we realize, lol! Best to you on your journey as well!
