A Tribute to A Dearly Departed Friend and WA Community Member
A Tribute to A Dear Friend
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear friend, business partner, and long time member of the Wealthy Affiliate community Sunday Eriickson. You may have known her as Sunday1, or MerriBerri1. No mattter how you knew her I am pretty sure she effected your life.
Sunday and met shortly after my first joining WA a couple years back, and we hit it off instantly. What many of you may not know was Sunday was born with Cerebral Palsy and life for her was not always easy, but she never complained about her condition, as a matter of fact I was never even aware of it to well into our relationship. She did not want people to feel sorry for her.
Sunday was a brilliant author with a few books to her credit and even a screen play that had got made into a movie, and her keen wit was what attracted me to her in the first place. But as I got to know her it became obvious that Sunday was far more complex than she ever let on to be.
After a short while and the process of critiqueing each others manuscripts, Sunday and I formed a small publishing company. From that point on we joined forces with a very talented artist Sherry B that you here in the WA community might know as Freedomseekr and together we created the book series which I will not name so as not be accused of promotion within the Wealthy Affiliate Community. But that was the beginning of what would be 1.5 of the most enjoyable years of my life working with a publishing team that was focused on the common goal of putting the heart warming story of Merri Berri Blue into the world.
Sunday unfortunately passed away suddenly on Sunday December 30, 2018, and we never even had a chance to say Goodbye.
But, this post along with your replies will live on as a testament to her life and her generous contributions to the world. So please leave your comments below.

I want to send my condolences. I am sorry for your lost. Sunday, I did not know her but, she sounded like a very warm and loving person.
This post really touched me. As, I could feel the great relationship that you all had. She will live on through her writing and publications.
I wish you all the best.
My condolences. Cherish the memories you created together and keep the dram alive through the book series and publishing company.
Thank you, we do have one more to publish in that series, and then I have one more that she wrote that has yet to be published and another one that we wrote together left to publish, so gonna try to do just that.
I am sorry for your loss... and ours.
I, unfortunately, never had the chance to meet Sunday, but your tribute to her has left me with a sense of sadness that I did not have the honor.
Thank You for sharing a piece of her.
Shaunna

I still am in such a shock that she's gone...although I didn't know Sunday as long as you, she became a very good friend as we worked together...well, after meeting her the first time, I think we were friends already!
Sunday had such a great personality, in spite of her hardships, she always was positive and kind to others...if it wouldn't be for her encouragement, and yours too, well, I might never have gotten started on the path I am now.
Definitely going to miss her so very much...it's sad we never had a chance to say goodbye even, it happened so suddenly. She sure made a huge mark on my life, and has and will continue to inspire me to keep going forward and to stay positive!
Best wishes :) ~Sherry
Sherry,
You were and will continue to be an intricate part of the team at Merri Berri Blue. Sunday will surely be missed, her humor, her insights, and even her lovable obstinance. All we can do now as we begin to regroup is always remember that Sunday loved her work and was so pleased as we released the first couple books, and that would not have been possible without you.
You and your artistic ability made that all possible. Hey I know about writing and I know about publishing, but I can't draw a stick figure. That is where you came in and picked up the ball when our first artist bailed out on the first project midway through.
She was so happy when you agreed to join the team as was I, but I think she more so because that meant the girls had a 2-1 advantage. But we both loved and respected you and your incredible abilities.
Now, of course, we have to move on and keep this project going because that is what she would have wanted. So we can look forward to the release of the third book in the series this spring.
Luv ya Sherry.
Doc
Awww, hey Doc,
That is so kind of you to say! It's been an honor to be a part of the team with both of you, and I'll definitely be looking forward to continue on and keep Sunday's project going as I know it's what she would've wanted. Lol, yeah, it was great fun since we did have a bit of an advantage as 2-1...she had quite the humor and even her occasional obstinance was very lovable indeed! You put up with our kidding quite well though, I must admit. :)
So very true, now it'll be a time to regroup and carry on Sunday's work in inspiring others with her story to push on regardless of the circumstances.
Luv ya back, Doc,
Best wishes :) ~Sherry
