"The Proof is in the Pudding." What Does That Even Mean?
A VERY WISE PROVERB.
The phrase, "The Proof is in the Pudding" stems from a very old and wise English proverb dating way back around the 14th century. It was actually brought into the United States in the 1920's and has become more and more common. Although it is ancient, we can still apply it to today's times. I'll tell you what I mean..
It is depicted as meaning that something is defined as being a success only after it has been tested and used, "Tried and True."
HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO US?
I find this to mean that we may not really know what our work will become until we test it out and demonstrate it to the world.
By now, we're pretty much all "in the process" of building our websites. Each and every day is more of an accomplishment. We hope and dream that one of these days, our site will become the pillar of success, drawing more visitors and assisting more people with our products and services. These are exciting times!
LET'S BREAK IT DOWN WITH EXAMPLES.
A great example would be, "You may not think it is a good product, but just look at the amazing sales it's receiving!" That's the proof of the pudding! Are you understanding it now?
Another one, and my favorite, is, "You will see it when you fry the egg!" I LOVE this one! When you crack an egg into a pan, it's raw and undone (just like when we begin a new project). However, as you fry the egg, it becomes finished and is delicious to eat, producing much enjoyment--(the enjoyment being the proof).
"All the proof of a pudding, is in the eating."
LET'S COMPARE IT TO OUR WORK.
When we complete our website (the pudding) to our satisfaction, we hope it will be a success. Through the process of development, it may not look or seem like it would become successful, so we have to experiment and try it out. When it does, however, we have our proof!
We now understand that because of the effort we put forth, the proof is in the pudding--our hard work and dedication has paid off!
OUR PROOF OF SUCCESS WILL BE IN THE PUDDING!
When looking back at the work you've accomplished thus far, uncertainty is a given. But, just knowing that we did our very best, will withstand the test of time. Will it succeed? The proof of whether or not it will, is in the pudding!
Add the precise ingredients to your pudding today and have proof of it's success tomorrow!
Erin :)!

excellent Erin! i got goose bumps thinking of what could be, as I whip this website into something special..successful...tasty...and appreciated by many!! The best thing is that im not alone in the process.
I'm so happy I could bring the whole picture to light for you! Glad to connect with you, my dear!
I'm trying to keep my expectations in check Erin.
I guess the excitement will have to be in the pudding!
Not sure what I'm talking about but I embrace the unknown.
Kinda like opening presents at Christmas time. I like to watch kids open presents. Makes me relive the excitement and suspense
as a child. Going forward is fun Erin.
hehee! Of course I do anticipate a let down if it don't pan out.
hhheehehe!

There are no "let downs" in our vocabulary! Stop that! lol
I do think you found your next blog subject in comparison to WA! Like Kids at Christmastime!
Love it Erin ..yet another great message. Love the one about ‘you will see it when you crack the egg’..must admit while creating my website now there are all these worrying thoughts going through my head ..is this right, is that right etc ..have to keep reminding myself that any negative thoughts are in my mind and I’m creating them.. need to get it out there and then I will know more and if it’s not right it can be sorted ...now I’m rather hungry !! Haha
Ha ha--I'll bet you went and got something to eat after reading this! You're quite welcome--lol!
You must block the negativity out and focus on the task at hand. Just keep pressing toward your great future!
What a great analogy, one most of us can or will relate to, especially thos of us who like... puddings ; 0
